It’s real driftwood, without treatment. Before put it into fish tank ,you should do the following treatment: 1)Wash and clean the driftwood with brush; 2)Boil it in hot water for about 2-3 hours ,to release the tannin, until the water color do not change ;Repeat the steps if needed; 3)Soak it into normal temperature water , for about 7 days ; 4)Take it out and wash the driftwood , you can put the driftwood aside for 2 days with some water on it. After that, you can take it out and wash it again, then you can use it in the fish tank decoration. The pretreatment process is for reference only. Please preprocess according to the actual situation.Besides, better to decoration your fish tank with the driftwood first,First landscaping, then put the fish into the fish tank.addison

I needed some some pieces for my 4"x4"x8"H jumping spider enclosures, these are perfect, some are wavy, some arch, but all fit within the space needed. Natural materials will always win out for me and these are perfect. Arrived quickly and packaged VERY well. Thank you.

they look nice as aquascape and add tannins to control ph.

Its wood ok , but its just pieces of tree root from the forest . If this so called "driftwood" has ever seen water other than rain , I would be very surprised. But its not for an aquarium so suits me fine.

its exactly what I paid for, only issue is I can tell its been packaged while still wet or damp, mold has grown on it and it smells like something you've left in a humid cupboard/storage for a long time. I should be able to thoroughly clean it before it touches my aquariums water so not a personal issue for me.cheap considering pet shops would sell just one of these for the same price :)

I'm actually quite unsure about this driftwood, and please take this with a grain of salt...Initially, upon receiving it, I quite liked it. It was beautiful and 3 of the 4 pieces were what I wanted for my aquascape. I went through the cleaning routine: boiling the pieces in water for 2 hours and then leaving it off to the side in order to cool off. Then I soaked it in some cool - room temperature - water so it wouldn't float as much, then added it to my scape. All was well... or so I thought. When I woke up the next day I peered into my shrimp tank. I saw 2 of my adults had passed away and one was twitching (in the midst of dying). I immediately became suspicious of the driftwood as my tank had had no issues whatsoever before. I proceeded to check my water parameters and only noted that the pH had fallen a few (nothing out of the ordinary since this is how driftwood works). Well, when you become suspicious of something you act upon it when you're in the aquarium hobby. I took out the driftwood and laid them in my supply crate. No deaths since. Now, fast forward ~2.5 months later when I decided I wanted to incorporate them into my new scape. I told myself that I probably shouldn't, and I wish I had listened...Within 8 hours, one of my adult's died after having thrived for a year and 97% of my 1-2 week old babies have also passed away; I am now left with 4. Am I upset? Absolutely, but I do blame myself as well for going against my gut instinct, something you should never question in this hobby.I'm not sure what this driftwood has been treated with, or if its been treated at all. I'm not 100% if it is even the fault of the driftwood and can only make opinions based on coincidence.Other people seem to enjoy this piece and unfortunately, I will now be pitching them out because I have not had a decent experience. If you do purchase this then, please... I urge you to be alert and wary of any deaths. After losing two batches of 1-2 week old shrimp fry, this is my warning to you.

I bought a set of these about a year ago and have been using them ever since. I was mostly pleased by their shapes with only one of the four being a bit of a letdown since it just looked like a stick. The other three have been in use in my five gallon since shortly after purchase.I didn’t boil or do anything other than rinse these before letting them soak in a bucket for a couple of weeks to remove some of the tannens and get them waterlogged. They are the right size of a small tank and look great. I just reordered another bunch for another small tank I’m playing with and am looking forward to seeing what arrives.

After several reviews emphasized how tiny these were, I was surprised that the ones I received were so large! I was actually hoping for tiny ones, Three of the four pieces were about six inches long, and one almost ten inches! However, I won't be petty and rate down because they were bigger than I expected, because the quality of the wood is good (I tried to break the largest one into two pieces and couldn't even do it) and each piece has a unique and interesting shape. A couple of the pieces had convenient nooks and crannies that allowed me to attach aquatic plants without even using any ties.
