Easy to read, and is okay on batteries. the sensor does have some limitations since it is built into the case. meaning you have to have the room for the entire unit to correctly get readings. Weaker emfs will not read unless detector is very close.

The product is pretty sensitive and is a good item for checking the safe areas within you're house or work areas, and having the extra radio detection function is helpful too when it comes to checking how hazardous your cellphones and walkie talkies high powered transmission lines or towers are, I didn't get that high of a reading from my Wifi router though!

Strumento curato, anche nella confezione e nel manuale di istruzione in italiano, inglese e tedesco. Provato in prossimità di una linea elettrica a 380 kV ha dato le misure ragionevoli, sia per il campo elettrico che magnetico. Anche un prossimità di un monitor LCD consente di individuare la posizione del trasformatore switching. Anche la parte RF pare funzionare, ma non ho potuto fare confronti. Ho preferito questo modello 630W con batteria a 9 V (fornita) rispetto a quella ricaricabile, perché comunque lo userò poco e la preferisco sostituibile.AggiornamentoConfrontato con uno strumento professionale dal costo 10 volte superiore, mostra valori del campo elettrico molto simili, per quello magnetico molto simili ma solo a partire da intensità superiori a 150-200 nT, mentre per valori inferiori la lettura scende rapidamente a zero, anche per campi dell'ordine dei 100 nT. Questo strumento fornisce una lettura isotropica del campo magnetico (mediando sui tre assi), coerentemente alla struttura dei sensori, uno per asse. Lo strumento professionale di confronto invece fornisce la lettura su un unico asse. Il giudizio rimane molto positivo, ma va evidenziato che campi deboli, seppur in teoria misurabili, non vengono visulizzati. Considerando che la soglia di attenzione è 200 nT, lo strumento rimane utile. Allego foto di confronto del campo elettrico e magnetico, e una dello strumento aperto che ne mostra la struttura.

This product is great – the best feature is that you can disable the piezoelectric speaker (annoying beeping) by holding the power/mute button for 1-2 seconds. Holding it again actually turns the backlit screen off, and then doing it a 3rd and 4th time will restore the sound and power respectively. This persists even after turning the device off, so you can have a quiet device without excessive beeps if you so desire.What I received was the RD630C (presumably C=Color) rather than the RD630 as the Amazon-listed model refers to, though the current pictures do accurately show the model number of the product that you get. This model uses a 9V battery similar to the RD630W, not the USB-C (?) rechargable feature you appear to get with the RD637. This isn't mentioned explicitly in the description of the models, which currently only says "1 Lithium Polymer batteries required. (included)". The RD630W description does mention in its description that you get a 9V battery with it... you also get one inside the box with the RD630C in case there was any confusion.Overall, the backlit color changing is neat and makes this intuitive to use. It's excellent that you can disable the speaker and that it saves that setting after you turn off the device ... just make sure you press it instead of holding it when you turn it off, or it will just be disabling the backlight by changing modes and still be On and you may not realize it in low-light conditions.

I recently purchased the EMF Detector to assess electromagnetic radiation fields in my home and office while I tinker on projects. Here’s my experience with the product:Timely Delivery: The product arrived on time, which is always appreciated.Packaging: While the package was slightly damaged, the device itself was unharmed. It would be great if the packaging could be improved to prevent any damage during transit.Battery Reminder: One thing to note is that you’ll need to buy batteries separately. Make sure to have them ready when your EMF Detector arrives.Color Display and Measurement Options: I really like the different color display on this device. It’s easy to read, and the ability to change measurements (e.g., milligauss or microtesla) is a useful feature.Alert Indicators: The color-coded alert indicators are a standout feature. Here’s what they mean:Green: Everything is good and safe.Yellow: Elevated readings—be cautious.Red: Dangerous levels—leave the area or take additional safety measures.Multiple Uses: I purchased this tool for various reasons:Setting up a temporary Faraday cage.Measuring homemade antenna functionality.And, of course, ghost hunting in my house!Overall, the EMF Detector has been a valuable addition to my toolkit. A concerning, but widely unknown fact is how strong cell phone signals, Wi-fi, and electromagnetic fields have become over the last three decades. As any competent Biology professor will tell you, a human body is an electro-chemical machine utilizing electrical impulses through nerves to move muscles, feel pain and pressure. Chemical actions within a body regulate cellular activity, hormones, break down food consumed into usable components, etc. Interference with those vital function can and do cause problems.Keeping all this in mind, Cell phone signals and Wi-fi utilize wave energy to operate. Wave energy can range from microwave, x-ray, radio waves, infrared and ultraviolet waves, essentially across the entire wave spectrum. For example, a Microwave oven uses microwave energy to make molecules vibrate rapidly creating heat, that cooks food, such as 'meat' etc. Meat is 'muscle' tissue. The metal sheet with small holes in the glass of a microwave creates a 'Faraday shield' through which microwave signals cannot pass.As the wave strength of Cell phone signals and Wi-fi increases, the potential for disruption in Human cells increases exponentially. This is also true for Electromagnetic fields. Computers generate powerful magnetic fields. The strength of these fields decreases rapidly over distance, so the closer to the source, the stronger the magnetic energy.Cell phones contain very powerful, miniaturized computers! They therefore create powerful electromagnetic fields.This device/tool can measure the strength of all these wave signals.Now, the eye-opening part. Turn the device on while standing away from your cell phone, W-fi router, laptop, or Apple computer. You will notice that the various type of signal strengths displayed on the meter either reads zero, or very, very low from background sources.Then move the device closer and closer to the cell phone, computer, router etc., and watch the numbers (signal strength energy) skyrocket. As those numbers increase a series of lights change from green to yellow, and the red light meaning extremely powerful.I have measured my iPhone 15 Pro, our whole house Netgear router, and pc.For all of them the signal strength goes 'off the charts' as you get close. Within two to six inches of the cell phone the cell signal, microwave band, and electromagnetic readings are alarming! The other devices are the same - alarming.Imagine the potential harm these can do to at the cellular level in your body (such as your brain), if held close for extended periods of time, or continual exposure such as having your phone on your hip all day, or in your pant pockets, close to reproductive organs. Think microwave cooking type damage.The GOOD news, this meter can detect the distances at which the signals can be dangerous, AND Faraday cloth, or blankets can totally block all these signals. Do some research and get some of these Faraday shield materials to protect yourself, and your children.There are many types of Faraday shielding materials such as very light cloth, and blankets sold on Amazon. A word to the wise . . .
