It is small but very useful. I tested everything before putting it in my emergency supplies, I found that it works very well. I hand cranked for not even 2 minutes, & it had 3/4 of a battery! I plugged my phone, charger works. Radio & weather stations were clear with antenna all the way extended. Be sure to read instructions on how to find your local weather channel for emergency broadcast.

I originally bought this radio to replace the other one I had misplaced in my house. But after tinkering around with it for a while, I discovered it was a wise purchase for several reasons. Firstly, it can be charged by its Solar panel, AAA batteries, a hand crank, or electricity, so there's no reason for it not to work in an emergency situation. Secondly, it can charge other small devices, so there's no reason not to have a charged phone to make an emergency call. Thirdly, it comes with a compass, an emergency alarm sound, a flashlight, 7 preset weather channels, and entertainment via the AM/FM radio option, making it the ultimate survival device hands down... I've played survival board games, and a radio is considered a very important item to have in regards to keeping up moral and keeping abreast of things, but to also have a flashlight that doesn't need disposable batteries is a blessing...JS

This did not come charged. But it comes with a charger. This is a lifesaver and I think everyone should have one of these. Itโs cool to tune on the radio stations. Great portable charger. The sound is really loud on the emergency button and the crank works well. I havenโt tested the solar feature but this thing is a game changer.

I just went through Hurricane Beryl, and what was shocking was that the power went out for such an extended amount of time. Even in Cat 3's, we've had power the whole storm or only lost power for a few hours. I've never worried about Cat 1/2 storms because they've been super mild with a little flooding, but this was insane with 2.5 million people with a loss of power. This storm happened July 8, 2024, and it's now the 17th as I write this, and I have friends/family STILL without power. So as you can imagine, sitting in the dark, no radio, no power, no way to charge things or know what's going on was super frustrating. In life, its best you learn from your mistakes and better prepare for the future, so this was definitely a wake-up call on a lot of things storm related. I cannot express how useful this "would have" been, and I'm hoping I won't need in the future, but a good emergency item to have. The LIghts: Very bright! Walking down a dark hallway, everything is lit up. Both the reading/and main light have two settings high and low.Compass/Strap: Both useful if you were maybe camping or you need to walk room to room or place to place. I might suggest adding an additional strap so you can carry it like a purse or crossbody if you need to travel a ways.SOS: Very loud! You can't just sit and listen to it, you press that button and your neighbors will hear it! Useful if you need help.Radio: I got a lot of static initially, but nothing the tuner and antenna did not fix. Radio volume can be set really high as well. Love that you can plug in some old school headphones. The NOAA stations are good if you like to hear monotone continual weather information.Charging: Super convenient. I 100% have been purchasing all my emergency equipment based on the ability to charge in at least 2 methods, solar and USB, and this has five!!! They all work really well. Some faster/slower than others, but it's awesome to know that this won't lose power even if you have no sun and no batteries.Score: 10/10, would definitely recommend to anyone who camps, or lives in an area with a lot of storms or power outages.

Small, lightweight, with all features working. However, very cheap materials and has digital buttons instead of a dial for the radio so that is problematic for actually focusing stations. Very cheap plastic abd those buttons will all deteriorate and break very soon especially if used in cold temperatures. I will probably be sending mine back. Used to have a great one from Radio Shack. Also speaker quality in very poor.

I visited Asheville, NC abut 5 weeks before Hurricane Helene came through the area. It was a wonderful visit to the NC mountains and the last place I visited was Biltmore Village. Hurricane Helene devastated many communities & places in NC, and Biltmore Village was inundated with a bunch of water & left with many demolished buildings and a deep layer of mud. I have watched several YouTube videos of the weather as it came through, and the flooding as it occurred and afterwards. Many people were cut off after the storm. Roads completely gone, homes gone, businesses gone. I saw this emergency radio, with solar & hand crank for power recharging, and able to also recharge a cell phone by USB cable. It has a powerful search light, and a separate reading light. There is also a warning sound that you can turn on. And there is the Emergency Weather radio and AM/FM selections. All worked fine out of the box. It is compact. I've put mine in a hallway in case the lights go out, or there is some other emergency.

Works as described . By far and away the best radio receiver we have now and it will be invaluable during the next power outage. I would have given it 5 stars but I suspect they sent me a restocked or returned item and not a new product as the seal was broken and inside the box the USB cord, wall plug and carabiner were awkwardly stuffed into the box and rattling around inside. But hey...it's a great product at a good price.
