Surprisingly taste pretty good. I decided to try them first to see if I would even want to eat them in an emergency because I’m very picky even in times of desperation. However, I could absolutely eat these multiple times a day if ever needed

It doesn't taste bad and I hope that it has all the necessary nutrients for surviving but God forbid that I find it necessary to consume it because lord help us if we find ourselves in that situation.

I tried these one day because I needed something in my stomach. The flavor was good for emergency, long term storage food! It is a bit dry but that is understandable considering it has to stay stable for years. I will buy more of these to replace the ones I ate!

This MRE has a high nutritional value for the calorie count that it contains. It tastes like Mexican sweet bread with the pineapple jam. The overall package is small enough to fit in a backpack, tough enough to withstand impact, and has an easy tear notch. The portions are also individually wrapped for portion control. The price is comparable to a military MRE or daily food ration. What it lacks in variety it makes up in portability in comparison to food ration. It has the texture of compressed crackers and crumbles like most bar rations. Personal it pairs well with coffee, tea, and milk if and when possible.

Overall, I'd say it's worth purchasing. There's a fairly pleasant chocolate scent I noticed when opening the vacuum sealed packaging- as you see in the image on Amazon. The plastic wrap on the four individually wrapped "bricks" inside seems cheap, but holds up quite nicely. The long life - the distant expiration date - is very nice.Taste: just like the smell - honestly, it's like chocolate-flavored cardboard. I hate to say that, but that's my best, simplest description I have. It's not bad! A little on the dry side and it crumbles as you bite into it - I'm not complaining, just informing. Sip on some water as you eat it and you're fine. Good taste overall and not at all unpleasant.I can't speak for the nutritional content - I have no way to prove or disprove what they promote. However, as of this review I've purchased this twice, and I will buy at least two more when I get paid.If you're hiking or working out a lot, highly nutritious food is important. Stay hydrated, do your research on food, fluids and nutrition (especially these days... ) and you'll guide yourself towards a better life.

Taste pretty good. Quality was good, excellent emergency food source. No cooking or boiling water required.
