This thingie should do exactly what it promises, deter any intruder who is trying to open a door or window from outside. It's loud and insistent while blocking the door or window. Make sure you check where the small "on/off" button is when first setting it up or you'll spend a noisy minute or two searching for it before you discover it to turn it off (not meant negative, just protecting your ears.)

Easy to travel with, leave mine in box and on return take out battery. Made me feel much safer when traveling alone.Loved that you can set sensitivity level and alarm is extremely loud. Rubber bottom prevents sliding on wood/tile/laminate.Bought second for a friend. Highly recommend.

I use these at my front and back door and take them on trips to hotel with me. Very effective. I have hardwood floors in front room therefore , it will not be as effective because it just slides when door is open. However I placed something behind it that will cause it to touch the item therefore causing the alarm to go off. It will definitely alert me someone is at the front door. It does work very well at back door. It actually prevents the door from opening. Love this purchase

I got this alarm to make me feel more safe at home. It has 3 settings for how sensitive it is which is great since the alarm is so loud. Good quality. I recommend!

This is a great unit however only operates in doors where there is a gap under it such as indoor hotel rooms. Outside corridors or apartments do not have a gap on the bottom and will not work
