I bought these to frame embroideries that I completed using heavy hardwood hoops. Like most bamboo hoops the hardware is quite flimsy and you wouldn't want to actually have to tighten it down too hard but for framing it already finished piece they're pretty good. I don't like how the nut is separate from the base plate meaning you could actually lose it. Some of them came in warped too and for what I'm using it for it'll be fine.

we used these as parts of our centerpieces for our wedding! they were super easy to take apart, super easy to glue and super easy to stain. they did not splinter when drilling them & they worked well for exactly what we were wanting.
