I’ve always used the budget, $15 mic arms that you can find here on this site & been totally content. Recently, I purchased this ElGato mic arms for my GF, for Christmas. Boyyy was I jealous when I set it up for her and realized just how much nicer this is. It’s like comparing a brand new Mercedes S-class to a Mitsubishi Mirage. Not on the same planet.I immediately ordered myself one & have been enjoying it ever since. It rotates, extends, retracts, super smooth. I don’t feel like I’m fighting with my mic arm anymore, or feeling like I need to leave it in one place because I’m worried I’ll break it in half. This this is solid construction, through and through. I’ll never go back!!

It assembled easily, and holds my AKG microphone with shock mount very securely. It has a great and easy range of motion, and the extension piece allows it to reach over my monitor. It's a huge improvement over my desktop mic-stand with a weighted base. That thing wasn't nearly as stable and secure as this one is, though the extension and overall length does make it a bit more wobbly, though it will never tip over like the other, so that's fine. It's also much more compact and tucked out of the way when not in use. It was easy to route the cable internally and it looks really nice with it all tucked away now. One con is that it doesn't have a good place to clamp my pop filter to the arm. It works well enough without one, but i may need to get something to adapt it or maybe just get a foam cover. It's a good enough value normally, but an excellent value when on sale.

Finally I have got this unbelievable mic arm!Firstly have to say that the package was great- original box inside another amazon package box.Secondly the arm was manufactured form really good materials. The holder for table is maximum stable. The mechanism of the arm is user friendly and very comfort for exploitation.5 stars from me for sure!!!!

The mic arm is really high quality and works really well with my Elgato wave 1. I am really happy with its material and it looks like it will probably last a good while. However, I can't really justify the purchase for others at this price point. If you are or want to be a streamer, this is a good addition to your setup. But if you are just going to use this for gaming comms, there are cheaper options that would work similarly, if not quite as well.TLDR: Mic arm is really good quality but doesn't offer anything special for its price point.

Boom articulates where you need it. Quiet and smooth. Using it for a Sure SM7B - good weight balance. The cable management slots and covers work great and make for clean looking installation.

I have tried many of the scissor mic arms and while they are perfectly functional, the Elgato arms are a delight. I started with the Low-Profile but found that this met my needs better. The movement is smooth and the channel for hiding my cable is perfect and easy to use. I have used this with my the Elgato Wave DX XLR mic and the Shure SM7B and it works flawlessly with both.Once again, the movement is well beyond any of the scissor-spring mounts I've used, and I will never go back.

Using with: shure sm7bStays in place!! No insanity inducing knob PhD needed. Holds weight with, so far, ZERO knob adjusting no matter the position I put it in!!! Move it, it stays. Done.!!!!!!!!!So here’s the comparisons and why I’m so impressed. : I’ve never had a mic arm that was sane. I never understood how everybody seemed perfectly fine with these garbage unstable, non-load bearing, “spring loaded” garbage arms. Twist those knobs all day and watch the magic impossible really off NOTHING happening despite non stop action!This?Omg“I’m in awe” is as accurate as “I’m in love.” The blue yeti arm that is gas mechanism was so much better than the mass garbage arms, but still had its issues. It’s prone to just rise to the ceiling and if you over tighten, you break it, but you gotta tighten to keep it from floating away, so… better than the nothing (which is all the other mic arms), but still some major flaws.This guy is MAGIC. Magic. You even have a weight to add to help provide additional counterweight to the already shocking ability for it to hold whatever position you placed it in!!! No massive twirling of knobs and raising the arm twenty feet and hoping it drops nineteen points five feet, to where you need it. And if not, just raising and watching it lower and praying it lands in some sanity sustaining state of moderate usability.This mic arm, I move it, it stays. Everywhere!!!! I’m using a shure sm7b. I’m in love.

Non ho mai avuto problemi di cedimento o oscillazioni, anche con microfoni più pesanti.In secondo luogo, l'Elgato Wave Mic Arm è incredibilmente versatile e regolabile. La sua gamma di movimenti consentono di posizionare il microfono esattamente dove desidero, garantendo una ripresa audio ottimale. Inoltre, il design elegante e compatto non occupa troppo spazio sulla mia scrivania.Infine, devo menzionare l'estrema facilità di installazione. The product is superb, easy to use and set up. Premium build quality and very extensible with good range of motion. The added weight for lighter microphones is what sold me on the stand and it works like a charm with my Saramonic SR-MV2000. The built-in cable management gives it a clean aesthetic which complements my set up well.

The only reference that I had before was a cheap boom arm that was able to manage my Rode Procaster. It was ok but not as solid and fluid as this Elgato mic arm. Just out of the box you feel it was made with quality materials, no loosen parts, well packaged, attencion on details... The cable management space is smart, put the cable on it is really easy. For reference, I use my Rode Procaster (around 745g) with the counterweight included but you can used without it, the arm stays in place. The ballhead is actually very useful for fine-tuning the mic position. With a little tightening the mic stays in position and the mechanism feels sturdy.I put it just behind of my 27 inch monitor and is not necessary to put the extension tube to rise the boom arm over the screen, it saves my space and keep my line of sight free and a little more clean, I can almost hide the mic and arm behind the monitor when I'm not using it.There is no noise of springs or metal parts when a move the arm, it is very quiet. I think you need to hit the arm with a reasonable force o move it quiet hard to listen some noise or vibration transmited through the arm.I don't know if you can obtain same quality for less money, or if paying more gives you a better boom arm, the only I can say is this mic arm offers great quality for what I consider a fair price.

J'en avais marre d'utiliser mon micro posé sur pied devant mon clavier. J'ai donc décidé de sauter le pas et d'acheter une perche afin de gagner en praticité et en confort. Après avoir effectué quelques recherches rapides, je me suis dirigé sur ce Elgato Wave Mic Arm qui me semblait intéressant. Que dire, si ce n'est que je suis littéralement aux anges. J'en viens sérieusement à me demander comment j'ai fait pour utiliser un micro pendant si longtemps sans une perche de ce genre… tellement ça change la vie (oui oui) !En cherchant le modèle que j'allais acheter, je suis tombé sur beaucoup de perches similaires aux alentours de 20/30 euros mais j'ai préféré ne pas acheter de l'entrée de gamme qui risque de ne pas durer et me diriger directement sur quelque chose de qualité. Je ne regrette absolument pas mon choix; la perche est effectivement d'excellente qualité et respire la solidité. Les finitions sont parfaites, l'installation est enfantine (il suffit de fixer le support au bureau et le micro sur la perche - pas besoin d'outils) et, surtout, elle ne grince pas. C'est en effet un problème récurrent que j'ai pu lire concernant les perches entrée de gamme peu chères. Pour info, j'utilise la perche avec un RØDE NT-USB qui pèse 520 grammes, ce qui est déjà un poids assez conséquent. Malgré tout, elle reste parfaitement stable et facilement maniable.Un des points que j'ai le plus adoré avec cette perche, c'est le système de passe-câble qui permet de cacher le câble USB utilisé pour raccorder le micro au PC. Ça permet d'avoir un rendu esthétique irréprochable et c'était d'ailleurs un de mes critères à l'achat (je n'ai pas trouvé de perche moins chère qui propose un tel système de cache câble et, au contraire, toutes les perches pas chères laissent même apparaître des ressorts que je trouve vraiment disgracieux). Évidemment, il en faut pour tous les budgets, je ne dis donc pas que les perches moins chères sont toutes mauvaises, n'en ayant jamais utilisé une autre que celle-ci.En conclusion, je ne peux que vous recommander cette perche de chez Elgato. Elle est de superbe qualité, je la trouve magnifique esthétiquement, le système de fixation au bureau est top, elle ne grince pas, les déplacements sont fluides et le système de cache câble est bien pensé. Pour être honnête, je ne lui trouve vraiment pas de défaut, en tout cas pour le moment (je l'utilise depuis seulement deux jours). Même le prix de 99€ est finalement très correct, vous n'êtes clairement pas volés. Je viendrai bien entendu éditer le présent commentaire si j'ai des choses à rajouter ou compléter par la suite.
