I wanted to use my Sony A6700 as a 4K webcam and interface it to work with OBS Studios. OMG!!! This device is awesome. It took less than a minute to connect up.All I needed (not included) was a Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable. The Micro HDMI end of the cable plugs into the Micro HDMI port on the A6700 camera and the HDMI end plugs into the CAM Link 4K.The USB end of the CAM Link 4K plugs into the USB 3.0 port on my Mac Mini M1. (Make sure it is plugged into a USB 3.0 port on your computer)I launched OBS Studios and there it was!There is no noticeable latency.There is no software to install.It just works.I recommend this product.

Not too sure what's going on with the influx of chinese capture cards using 4K in their title to try and trick potential buyers into them, but if you want the highest quality from your 4k dslr into your PC, this is the best way to go.I've used this for a couple of months now making youtube videos directly from my PC via OBS with my sony mirrorless. The elgato 4k cam link does exactly what it says it will do. picture is gorgeous, no lag, latency, glitches, nothing, just raw from my cameras hdmi out to my PC's OBS with no messing around.

I have tried a few different “4K” capture cards and none of them were able to not only give me the 4K I wanted but the frame rate even just on 1080 wasn’t hitting 30 consistently let alone trying to get 60 fps out of them. Elgato makes a superior product hands down! Yes you will be paying a lot but yes it will ACTUALLY WORK! Spend the extra money and learn from my mistakes. Buy once cry once.

I bought this originally to replace an off-brand video capture device, which always produced a poor quality video. From the beginning the Elgato CamLinkd provided superior video and performance. The included software also was easy to use. Literally days before the 2 year warranty was up, the unit began to fail. Elgato/Corsair was extremely easy to work with and very efficient in resolving the issue by sending me a replacement. Great quality and a solid warranty period - couldn't ask for more. I have recently purchased a second CAMlink to allow multiple video feeds. Highly recommended.

Tout est dans le titre.Vous achetez un samsung nx500 en occase sur ebay (autour de 400€) en ensuite, avec ce "elgato cam link", cela permet de créer une "webcam" avec un "grand" capteur APS-C de très très bonne qualité à un prix défiant toute concurrence. Enregistrement en 4K 60 fps parfait avec zéro artéfact de compression. Avec la lentille du kit de base du nx500 (20-60mm avec f3.5/5.6), l'auto-focus sur vos yeux est aussi parfait sans focus breathing.Tout est direct et facile avec le samsung NX1 car il a une sortie "clean hdmi" en permanence.Pour avoir une image de bonne qualité sur la sortie hdmi du Samsung nx500 il faut apuyer sur le bouton enregistrement. Avec le petit "patch" du firmware du nx500 (gratuit et facile à installer: il suffit d'avoir une carte SD), j'enregistre aussi en 4K pendant des heures sans aucun soucis sur le nx500 (et surement aussi le nx1 mais j'ai juste un nx500 pour tester) (aucun soucis de température).C'est le super bon plan pour avoir une caméra de qualité professionnelle pour vos vidéos youtube "talking heads" à un prix défiant toute concurrence.

عشان المنتج يشتغل لازم يتوصل ب مدخل usb3 مستقل، بجهاز امكانيات كارت الشاشة فيه عاليةلو اتوصل على usb hub هيقرفك حرفيا ويفصل كتير، خاصة لو انت موصل هاردات او deck او حاجات تانية كتير.لو معندكش مدخل usb3 مستقل في جهازك مانصحكش تشتريهلو عندك المتطلبات، هتلاقي الجودة ممتازهالفرق بينها وبين ال capture card التقليدي الرخيصهو فقط في ال 60 frame لكن جودة الصورة مش بتفرق في حاجه، رغم ان السعر ١٠ اضعاف

Even though this is marketed as a plug-in-play device. There is some things that need to be known before you purchase this. Since this is a premium penny at over 110 dollars. The main thing people need to understand is USB Bandwidth. If you plug this 4K Cam Link and it does not work properly. Keep trying in other USB 3.0 ports. This Cam Link at 1080p 60 frames was drawing more bandwidth than other Capture Links. So you may have to test it in multiple ports. I was on a laptop. So after you figure out your USB Bandwidth you should be good.If you are getting some lagging or freezing. You may need to download the Elgato 4k Capture Utility Software. Once the Cam Link is plugged in open the app. Hold CTRL and select the settings icon. Put it on Isochronous mode and this should fix whatever lagging or stuttering. After I did this My Cam Link runs all day. I have used it for over 4+ hours many times.The quality and color in OBS are much clearer than in cheaper Cam Links. A much richer brighter color that pops out. It does get warm but I have never had problems. I use mine at 1080 60p and run that all day. The 4k works as well and I have run that for a while with no problems. A chunky fellow it is yet it is lightweight. It comes with a cord for a more USB 3.0 extension. Expensive and the bandwidth knowing are the only negatives I can come up with. The bandwidth issue can be handled with a little research.

Haven’t had the time yet to try it with my Sony A6400 to be used as a web cam. but did test it with the go pro hero5 black and it does what it is supposed to do. Bought it when it was 1065 SEK (down from 1271). Now it’s under 1k. Will update review down the line…Update 1: working as advertised. Using it with A6400 4k @25 during my daily meeting and it pops up as cam link 4k in MS teams so can’t complain. The usb extension cable is very handy.

{Update} After 10 uses. Been using it with Video Conference calls. People tell me that the camera with this device are worlds better. So glad I got this device. What I've now noticed, is I don't think it's wise to keep it plugged into my laptop 24/7. The Elgato Cam get's warm even when not in use. NOT hot. But warm enough that you know it's not good for the long term to leave it like that. I would buy again for another camera for 2nd angle if I had a youtube channel or something like that for sure. If Elgato releases a USB-C version and it gives better quality, I don't think I'd jump at it. Seriously, the quality I'm getting with the current set up is totally good enough.Original Post:Setup with my Nikon D750 camera. I had to change the settings on the camera to not shutoff the link. But after figuring that out, it works great. I use it for Zoom calls for work and it's such a difference. The camera option on my mac laptop in zoom shows up as a secondary camera option. I didn't have to install any software. It just works. My nikon camera is warm after 10 minutes so you shouldn't leave the camera on all day for example.The quality and speed of the connection is seamless. I should that being USB rather than USBC might not have the bandwidth to support a smooth response, but it certainly did. No issues whatsoever. For the price, I was happy with the results. I did have to buy the HDMI cable for my Nikon which I didn't expect. So be careful in researching that.So when I'm not using the device, I keep it in a plastic case with pads in it. I also happened to have a USB cover cap that I place on it when I remove it from the computer. $100 is still expensive no matter how you look at it.I can see this device being used as part of the setup for a video podcaster or youtuber for the perfect setup. The quality is so good that it passes through. Again, it supports HD quality w/ no issues or added delay to pass the signal.The device itself is hard plastic. But it doesn't feel overly light or flimsy. I'm glad I bought it and would buy again.
