How to replace the throttle body?
1.Use a screwdriver to remove the air cleaner and duct hose. Pull out the plug to disconnect the electrical connector on the MAF. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor in the air duct.
2.Pull the electrical connector to disconnect the idle air control on the side of the throttle body. Disconnect the throttle position sensor opposite the throttle cable levers.
3.Turn the throttle lever on the throttle body all the way open by hand and remove the now slackened throttle cables from the lever.
4.Remove the bolts that run through the throttle body and into the intake manifold. Use a ¼-inch drive socket and ratchet to lift the throttle body off the intake manifold. Protect the metal gasket between the throttle body and intake as it must be reused. Install the new throttle body in reverse order.

Product worked perfectly in my 2011 Jeep Compass. I was having intermittent issues with power loss and the red lightning bolt indicator light briefly turning on. This product resolved the issue.

I installed the throttle body without any issues. I used the old gasket, but it looked fine. So far, the Jeep Patriot runs fine. Hopefully, it stays that way!
