Hot glue to print carriage for 3d printer bed calibration; works great … bought another so I can use 2 at same time to see multiple points.

The dial indicator works nicely, however it’s good to the nearest .0001 like was stated in other reviews. Which is perfectly fine by me. My only thing is that the battery was pretty much dead when i got the unit. It came with a spare though. Unless the battery is installed to hold its calibration and firmware settings while it’s sitting in the warehouse, why not just ship it without a battery installed? Seems a bit of a waste. Otherwise unit is good and seems to deliver reasonable results so far.

Works great. I use it to level 3d printer bed not in a machine shop. Its cheap, works great. I dont have a metrology lab to run over to to check accuracy, but it seems accurate to the calipers I use at home.

No issues with these so far. I had another one that I had to pull the battery and adjust the battery clip fingers but if you need one of these than that kind of thing is in your wheelhouse. The units come with both a flat back and retaining half ring. One quick note, the probe length between units is not necessarily equal. Mine were used in a tramming jig and you could see it easily. Not normally an issue, just be aware.

I use this for obtaining correct timing of piston to ignition. So much easier to see instead of a fluttering needle at small increments

The digital dial indicator seems to be well made and solid. I would have given it 5 stars except the accuracy was not the 0.0002" as advertised. I measured a maximum error of 0.00035". If they had advertised the error as 0.0004" I would have given it 5 stars. If you need an instrument accurate to the nearest thousandth which I do, then this is a good choice. Only time will determine how the digital dial indicator will continue giving good performance. My first impression is I recommend this device to anyone that needs an instrument to measure to the nearest thousandth.

This measures accurately for me so far and does exactly what I bought it for. Also the ON/OFF switch properly shuts off the power so the battery doesn't run down when not in use. Many of the other inexpensive (made in China) digital calipers and gauges etc. only blank the display when you turn them off but leave the electronics drawing power from the battery. This one shuts off correctly and the battery lasts a long, long time!

Great value for the $. Very stable with repeatability. Tested under under different temperature conditions. 60 degrees, 80 degrees F has same results as 115 degrees F.Did not have battery issues over hours of use. Disappointed that thread doesn't match Starrett SAE 4-48.This unit has M2.5-0.45 threads. LR44 BatteryVery clear display. Verified accuracy multiple times.

Quite accurate within .0001. Took measurements with several precision gage blocks ranging from .1" to .9" on a surface plate and all measurements were within .0001, with repeatable results. Pleasantly surprised.
