I ordered this to use as a warming mat. Once set on the counter though, I realized I could also use it as a hot pad (don't turn it on). It now stays on the counter full time and we use it more as a hot pad than as the warming mat. It is also very easy to clean for the occasional spills. The fact that I got bright blue also adds a bit of cheer to our otherwise dreary kitchen. This has been one of the best (and most surprising) purchases I have made for my kitchen in some time.

I absolutely love this warmer. I used to have some older warming trays that were big and bulky and had hotspots. This is absolutely perfect, it rolls up and is easy to store for small spaces and the temperature is easy to adjust. So much better than keeping dips in a crockpot that tend to overheat and boil or get crusty around the edges. Looking to buy another one.

My wife is the one reviewing this product:My husband, bless his thoughtful heart, surprised me with the Natekelly Silicone Food Warming Mat. Now, initially, I was confused. We already had a chafing dish and an induction hot plate – bulky items used a mere handful of times a year for big holiday gatherings. But this mat? This unassuming blue rectangle has me rethinking my entire buffet strategy.Think of it as a supercharged heating pad for food. It's not a hot plate – it won't cook anything. But anything already cooked? This is its happy place. The entire mat, roughly one and a half square feet, heats up uniformly. Imagine – an entire buffet spread on square dishes, all kept warm and delightful on this little mat!Unlike a hot plate or chafing dish, it doesn't get scorching hot. But that's the beauty – it keeps cooked food warm, not sizzling. Hundreds of tiny feet elevate the mat, allowing air to circulate and prevent the surface beneath from overheating. There might even be some internal heat shield – whatever the magic is, the surface below stays cool to the touch.Temperature control is a breeze with the electronic buttons. No fancy dials, but easy up-and-down adjustments. And for safety, there's a child lock – a thoughtful touch for those in a house with curious little hands. The mat supposedly gets hot enough to boil water, which opens interesting possibilities. A couple of hotel pans could mimic a double boiler for even heat distribution, if that's a concern. But honestly, I haven't noticed any uneven heating, especially with my favorite ceramic-coated aluminum dishes. Now, the real winner in our tiny house? This mat rolls up like a heating pad! Its compact footprint is a dream come true. Remember that bulky chafing dish? This mat takes up a fraction of the space, perfect for our occasional entertaining needs. Most of the year, it'll live tucked away in a cabinet, ready to shine at our next gathering. In summation, the Natekelly Silicone Food Warming Mat gets a solid 4-star rating from this happy homemaker. It's not a magical cooking device, but for keeping food warm during a buffet, it's amazing. Easy to use, safe, and incredibly space-saving, this mat might just become the star of my future holiday spreads.
