These are some nicely constructed grounding components. The grounding bar is strong and able to reach deep into the earth. There is sufficient wiring space between the component and clip. Overall everything looks of good quality and that the parts should by able to withstand the elements as they are integrated into my system currently. I think this is a good product.

The grounding rod is well-designed, with an insulated handle that makes it easy to insert and remove. It’s compact, lightweight, and convenient for portable electric fences. However, the rod's length may not be ideal for drier soil, as deeper grounding is often needed for optimal performance. The alligator clips and wires are functional but not exceptional; the wires feel a bit short, and the clamps could be better suited for thinner fence wires.Overall, it’s a practical upgrade over DIY solutions for electric fences, especially in moderate soil conditions. If you frequently deal with dry soil, you may need a longer rod or additional grounding support.

I have been using this grounding rod set with a portable electric fence, and it works well. The insulated handle makes it easy to insert the metal rod deeply into the ground, ensuring a secure and effective connection. The included alligator clips and wires provide a solid connection to the energizer and grounding system. The split design is a convenient feature, making the rod easier to carry and set up in different locations. Even in outdoor conditions, the components seem durable and built to last. It is a practical solution for maintaining a reliable electric fence system and protecting your property from unwanted wildlife or securing livestock.

So I have an emergency backup for my internet (modem and router) and phone (I use VoIP so adapter and laptop for pbx) which is a small inverter and a tractor battery.I needed this for the clamps and the end wires to put around the screwd (poles) of the inverter. The wire gage is as mentioned (thick) and wires are well clipped at both ends. The clamps are strong and big enough for a car battery. As for the stake that I will not use it is thick and solid. It's two parts and the "handle" is thick and comfortable.Excellent buy.

We have a lot of livestock and needed to have sections of fence to keep the animals contained inside the perimeter fencing. These are not as sturdy or long as I had hoped. The end that goes in the ground is very pointy and the rod is thicker than what you normally find in the stores. You have to screw the pieces together so there is some assembly required. The clips are also larger than most you find in the stores but seem to work. For winter these will probably work better than the hot summers we get where the soil will be too dry. Made in China.

I've found that the strength of an electric fence depends a lot on the soil - dry soil needs a longer/deeper ground to achieve the same shock level as a shallow ground in moist soil. I can see this being more than sufficient for moist soils, but drier soils idk? It would still work i'm sure, but how well or if a longer ground will be necessary, I don't know. Ultimately this met my needs so I'm happy!

This is just what I needed for a portable electric fence system around a home garden area! The rod is small, but seems sufficient for that electric fence charger, plus it is fairly easy to place in our rocky ground. I don’t think it would work with our larger electric fence charger and fence area because that one says it requires a 3’ long rod.

I ordered this to go along with my solar portable charger. Works well, still get a good shock as long as the ground is moist.

This rod comes in three pieces with a sharp tip to pierce the ground. The clamps are large and easy to put on any size wire or ribbon wire. The solar panel is sufficient to keep everything working. The handle makes it easy if you need to twist to get into the ground and for removal. The best thing is it is portable so if you move your fence around it can go with you.

The ring clamps at the ends of the wires were not done up tight. They slipped right off. The screw threads on the handle did not match the post, so the handle screwed on crooked.

The kit overall, isn't bad, but I have some "reservations". First, though the ground rod is a decent diameter, it comes in three pieces. Solid rod would be nicer, and ultimately better conductivity. The wire is pretty good size for durability, but the jaws on the clamps are more suited for battery terminals than connecting to fence wire. From a side profile view point, the jaws, when shut, taper. You need something like a 1/4" diameter for the jaws to grasp. The "tip" end of the clamp comes tight together, but that is not ideal position to connect to the fence wire. Will the kit work? yes. Could it be better? most defitely. I think it was designed by someone who has never used a kit like this in practical use.
