The alarm light would come on. About 10 seconds after plugging the fence up. Repeatedly checked the fence for ground faults, had none.

The fence charger stopped working after two weeks. Waste of my time taking it to the UPS for shipment back to company. If Amazon is going to sell inferior products at least pick your junk up at my house for free instead of charging me to return it.

This fence charger is keeping deer and ground hogs and rabbits out of the garden using 7 runs of electric fence wire with 3 low to the ground and 4 higher on 6 foot high t post fence. This unit must be protected from rain. I mounted it in a large plastic junction box purchase on Amazon.

My old fencer just wasn't doing it any more. This one, has been able to keep the wet grass off of the fence and the cattle respect it much more.

Any sort of grass or anything touching this will get zapped. I can hear the blades of grass being electrocuted by this thing and by time I came out the next day those blades of grass were dead. I could smell it burning the grass. I needed this for protection in, the outer rim of my chicken coop and my quail coop. I needed the piece of mine to know that they were all protected. My other one was not doing well and honestly, I might buy another and replace the old one because the old one is not doing anything anymore. This is absolutely affordable and so far works well. The only thing that I will say that I do not like about this product is that there is no way to keep this safe so you have to make your own box to put around this and keep it water safe. I’m in a state that has hurricanes several times a year. So hopefully this Contraption I designed will work.

At first the small calves would walk through our electric fence. I had a small solar powered unit and then got this one. They still walked through. I thought I had enough ground, 5’ completely in the ground. After they kept walking through this one I added more grounding and it stopped them cold.First important rule of electric fences, have plenty of grounding.I had a 5’ copper rod; it wasn’t enough. I added 12’ more and it made a huge difference.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! This is advertised as 3 Joules but in the included manual it states that this model is only 1.5JIf you are looking to get 3J you would need to purchase the most expensive model they offer.
