I like the sharpener unit ,It save me a lot of time and easy to setup. The sharpener unit worked really well but the file worn out very fast.

This machine rivals any Dremel. I was disappointed in the sharpening stones. After one "12 chain they were smooth. For a diamond file they are weak. The motor makes up for it though. I recommend this tool but buy the sharpening accoutrements elsewhere. Otherwise 5 stars.

So this kit was easy to use, did not take much time to set up and within 10 minutes I has a fresh fully sharpened chain. So I wnt to use it and the stupid saw would not start. So I may just end up buying a say in electric tool too. The ends feel alot sharper and dont see why it would not cut as if it were new.

Everyone once in awhile I get to discover something I didn't know existed and makes doing something SO much easier or better. This is one of those things. Put your files away, get one of these and never look back.It literally has cut my chainsaw sharpening time in...quarter? It's that fast. When first using this unit, check your angle is correct and that you have the right size bit for your saw blade, then do a test, because this unt will sharpen *quickly*, especially with a new bit. I have mine set to '3' and it takes just a second or two per link. It may take a bit more for especially worn chains, but you get the idea.Yes, you still have to use the depth gauge tool from your old kit, but the sharpening part just got a whole lot easier.
