Needed a wired mouse and this works as well as any other track ball mouses I have had.

This mouse has started out working great and then in a few days started to intermittently stop working.

I had another brand, with a mouse wheel that is going flakey, jumping the screen randomly when trying to scroll. This replaced that. Siver colored ball looks cool too.

Came with an intact battery saver tab, 1 AA battery and bottom plastic cover film. Fitted packaging and nice box. USB receiver was in a tiny zipbag. Works great, better than the last 3. ball doesn't click when you lift your thumb. Feels 3D printed.

So about a decade or two ago, Logitech discontinued the Trackman Wheel, which was a wired thumb controlled trackball. It was replaced by the wireless M570 there have been a few iterations of it, all wireless. So for the few of us that wanted a wired option so that we didn't have to buy replacement batteries, there were very few options. There are a few companies out there, with Elecom being one of them.So far, it's been working great. The trackball and buttons are responsive. Time will tell how long it lasts. It does seem to be a bit smaller than the M570, so if you have big hands you may need to consider that.

Well what can I say - a bluetooth device needs to pair before you can use it. This one won't, and I tried it with three computers all with different operating systems and none of them would have it. Sad, because it's a lovely shape in my hand and the buttons are all in good places.

Mine has the "ruby" bearings. The reviewers that criticize it for having stick slip problems are right about that...and there is no reason why the ball can't be on top for the same price.Cleaning the ball...AND THE ROLLERS does clear up most of the "Stick slip" (Stiction is actually a word in the English language and the correct one.) What is actually the stiction problem however, I was expecting, see, it isn't the material that the bearings are made from, it is the design of the bearings and the assembly as a whole. A bearing that can't move around freely in it's cage is going to bind. Although the three "ruby bearings" are at three locations around the ball, there is no fourth bearing. As such, the ball actually rubs against the housing on the side immediately opposite your thumb. It doesn't rub intermittently, it rubs against that under all conditions. (Computer engineering by idiot?) So, overall, the only real fix is for the purchaser to cut a hole in the housing, buy a fourth bearing and install it.The left/right click buttons are too far in front of the housing and the additional buttons shouldn't be there at all. (I assume that you do the same, you type with both hands.)

Mouse:Feels durable, trackball is easily removed, and the buttons have a satisfying click. My biggest issue though is how easily the tracks get dirtied, which makes it harder to rotate the ball. I find myself needing to clean it with a Qtip daily, and I'm only a desk worker - I can't imagine how someone in an outdoors job would feel coming home to this mouse.Software:Okay, I guess. Includes an "Arbitrary Key" function which lets you assign a key combination (Like F3+I can be executed with one click) which is great. Biggest issue with the software is the presence of controls for features the mouse lacks, it would be nice if it identified your mouse and hid these.
