The batons are perfect for my 5 year old granddaughter. The ribbon wand handles are made of plastic and can cut you if you’re not careful. There is something with the plastic that cuts if you rub your hand or fingers up and down on it. It feels like a bad paper cut and can be pretty painful. I wrapped both ribbon handles in saran wrap, and that seems to work at preventing any further cuts.
