Our son is able to play his PlayStation without hearing the fan which caused the system to run hard and get hot. We must clean the internal fan often as it collects dust so this helps keep things cool when we can’t clean the system at the moment.

Perfect fit, runs quiet, good addition. I use auto mode. Cord could be longer but I used an extension cord. As you can see I installed when I wrapped my unit. Using extra wrap to hold in place cut down on fan noise. Recommend using heavy tape or a wrap to hold securely in place.

After having used this for just over a month now, this is definitely some of the best money I've ever spent.Given that our PS4 is just over 9 years old, I figured It was time to disassemble and clean / reapply the thermal paste. Even then, it was still running warmer than I would like and I experienced periodic game crashes. This fan assembly made a monumental difference. I doubt the three smaller fans make much of a difference relative to the volume of air moved; however, the two larger fans definitely move a sufficient amount of air to keep the PlayStation running much cooler.As others have noted, the fans are noticeably loud, although nothing that can't be tolerated during gameplay. I would liken the sound and its volume to that of a very small hive of angry bees...*very* angry bees.That caveat aside, it's definitely worth the money.

Super simple to install- pops right on the back. The USB cord needs to plug into the FRONT of the machine, and the cord is JUST long enough to reach around with a little slack. The USB cord is not removable. Function- It works great! Nice and quiet, and our PS4's fan was always sounding like a jet about to take off! With this fan, the works stay cooler and the fan stays quiet. Also- there's an auto or manual mode for the unit. We leave it on auto, so it turns on when the motor gets warmer than 32 degrees C. Great fan!

This is a poorly designed item, The unit mounts to the back of the consol, right the jacks for hdmi and ethernet cable. No way to functionally use this item while using the consol. Maybe if you were done playing and put the consol in sleep mode, unplugged everything but the power cable then maybe its usable but the fans seem to move little air.

UPDATE: If you use your system daily this is NOT the product for you, I have had it for a month now I use my PS4 daily and the fan is starting to crap out make weird sounds and causing MORE HEATING than cooling.It's nice easy to install and I can't lie it does work well but the way it installs it doesn't lock in so it vibrates. Other than the fact that there could be some improvement to the attachment pieces to give it a tighter hold and there by eliminating the vibration.Side note:I almost forgot one last little note I would not plug the cord into the PlayStation itself you're creating more draw/heat, I would take that cord and plug it in a cell phone charger base like I have done and plug it in independently if possible. I also think the creators should make a 3-6 foot cable option with plug base so you don't have to plug it into the PlayStation it self, just a little advice.

Ok so my ps4 is one of the very white originals ones and as of late it starts to over heat up some. Even moving it to a better area with more air flow I still noticed. Then I got the red light on my system so after cleaning it out of the dust that gathers inside I decided to try this product. For the first few weeks it was rather silent. Not to noticeable just a little more noise but not enough that it distracted me from my gaming. Unfortunately after those few weeks this started to make a really loud rev sound. Even not in turbo mode it just has this rev/grinding sound that is horrible. While after a little while it kind of quiets down. It does help pull some of the heat out of the system. So that I'm happy to see but honestly I'm not sure this is that good of a help. As I put up another small fan on the side to help blow the heat out of the area little more too...plus added a couple usb small fans to the top of it to help some as well.

I am glad I made this buy, my only problem with the product is that when you assign it to its "Auto" setting, my fan sputters endlessly. By sputter I mean it turns on and off over and over without stop.To avoid this, I just manually turn the fan on when I am going to be running a game I know heats up the ps4.I got exactily what I spent my money on, and for a cheap price tag I received, in my opinion, a good quality product that does what it is suppose to do.Buy this with the ps4 repair tools kit, and a can of compressed air. Find easy "how to clean your internal fan" on youtube, and bring new life to your system if it sounds like a Jet Engine every time you run it.
