Install was very easy and quick. The back plate feels secure on the wall and takes up enough space to cover the spot from the prior thermostat.

The cover came in a white box in a cloudy plastic with nothing else. The installation itself was pretty easy. I just used the screws from the other cover that didn’t fit quite as well. This cover looks great and is exactly what I needed. The color of the cover perfectly matches the thermostat.

The wall plate is exactly as described and is large enough to cover up the holes and unpainted part of the wall the was behind the old thermostat. I ordered this and I was delivered the next morning.

This sticks to the wall smoothly unlike the OEM one. Better aesthetics as it does not stick out unnecessarily.

I really loved the trim plates customized for Nest thermostat (4th Gen 2020). It fits perfectly well, build with a good quality material with a very minimalist branding on the front.I have sand color thermostat but the trim was a bit lighter. Not sure if this was intentionally kept as it looked really nice to me, while some people commented that it is not matching the thermostat. I mean I am okay with the contrasting shade, as it silently hides behind the thermostat and gives the main product more important. with gold reflective glass surface on nest, the whole thing looks just fantastic on wall.

This is simply a piece of plastic that likely cost a few cents to manufacture. Really, there is nothing special about it but that being said, it does the job and looks nice on the wall. It was big enough to cover the holes left by my old thermostat and the cost was worth it not to have to calk and paint. I wish it came with hardware...then I would have given it 5 stars.

Simple enough and probably better than the Nest branded plate. Here are the salient points:Packaging: Not the sturdiest or best. Just a thin box with the plate, easily bent and crushed. Mine came in a padded envelope and the playe box had been through some rough handling.Quality: The plate is a bit thinner than preferred so it does have a little bow in it. It didn’t sit 100% flush with my wall. For the price, they could have made it thicker and sturdier to aboid this warp.Install: it fits exact to the Nest 2020 thermostat. The screw holes overlap. I would have preferred a metal plate to which this was attacked to get it flatter against the wall but I can live with it.Aesthetic: I bought this to cover the white, non-painted area where my old thermostat sat...super annoying that as technology changes, the shapes cause slight aesthetic issues to deal with.Overall: A good buy. The white is closely matched to the Nest snow color. Get this vs the branded one.
