This product is not wood! This was fine for my application. The corbel is hollow so I installed it over a wooden cleat. I took one star off because I had to sand it down so it would sit flush against the wall once I put it up.It adds a nice detail to my builder grade home.

These are just what I was looking for to decorate around the soffits of our new home. Easily spray painted them dark brown. They look great. Wanted to order more of them but the price went up substantially, too much for me to afford.

Really pleased with this! I was worried they wouldn’t be durable enough to be installed outdoors, but they are very stiff and did not dent, even when we nailed it to the mounting blocks. We painted it white to make the texture fit with the rest of our painted porch (after this photo was taken). These were really affordable and will stand the test of time!

I research online between Lowe's, Home Depot, and Amazon for the best Corbels at a low cost and a quality products for many hours.When reading some of the reviews for this particular item and company, I had my doubts about buying this corbel.Several reviews, said the product was of poor quality and cheaply made. One in fact said that he was able to depress his finger into the corbel, leaving his finger print on the corbel, get real! I know this product is not hard material, as I have bought other items, such as chair rails, made with this semi-firm foam material. It is less expensive as real wood corbels and looks the same. I am very pleased with this product. Came in excellent condition, and plan to use a nail gun to apply them (bought 2) to the ceiling and the wall! Less chance of damaging them with a hand held hammer, if you miss the nail!! LOL!!UPDATE: 07/25/19, Have placed these corbels in the location I wanted. Used my air compressor nail gun, without any damage to them. Surprised no damage to the surface around nail hole, as there is about 80 lbs. of pressure that drives the nail into the corbel and then into the wall Fill nail holes, as gun depresses the nails so nail does not stick out, with painters putty. Put 2 coats of white paint, looks like the 'Real McCoy'!! Great product!!!

Love these. Used under the granite on island and as this is decorative only, they are perfect for the job. Did receive one that was chipped but placed a replacement message online and the new one was here in two days. Excellent! They are easy to install (used two sided adhesive tape) and they painted beautifully. Would definitely buy again.

I love these brackets they are so pretty. Although they are not solid wood blocks it does not matter I am using them for decorative accents on two corners of a wide Sheetrock opening so installed you can’t tell they are not solid carved corbels. Great value for the money.

Ekena products are installed throughout my home .I have used the extensively.This particular item is much like the rest of their line.It was produced with quality and installation was very simple and straightforward.The detail that this added to my room was quick as well as economical,One thing I might add if allowed in reviews is a tip or two on installation.I have seen reviews that question this and feel it is integral to understanding the product.I used this item (and others from the line) for room detail and style.Placement is key, so take your time.I use " museum putty such as Quake Hold" to temporarily literally stick these to the wall...then stand back and see how it fits / works in that position.Quake Hold lets you move it around so that you may find the optimum placement without damaging or committing first.Also use liquid nails and deep screws to attach once placement decision has been made.Overall a very attractive and diverse product that is extremely well made (and comes Primed ready to paint to boot)Would I buy it again?...I already have and give full approval for my homes needs.
