They can be installed vertically or horizontally and can be used to create a focal point, accent wall, to cover an entire room, or even to upgrade furniture and desks. They are versatile, easy to install, and are suitable for use in a variety of settings, including homes, offices, and commercial spaces. Slat wall paneling offers a sustainable alternative to traditional wall coverings, as they are made from renewable resources and can be easily refurbished or recycled at the end of their lifespan.

I would have given it 5 stars except for the variation in heights. We ended up having to trim down as much as .5 inches from some of the slats to create an even design.

I bought these as an alternative to acoustic panels for my project and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t have a table saw to cut straight strips out of plywood and I didn’t want to worry about finishing any wood. This saved me a ton of time and headache and it came out great.Used Oak 3/8 thickness

This is not real wood and the sides are not stained. I will still use them but a bit disappointed in quality. Update. The sides are not finished but with a 1/2 gap makes zero difference. As far as not being real wood, it made no difference in application process. My trim carpenter was not impressed but afterwards really liked the look. I am satisfied.

Wood came in very condition and worked well. Needed minimal sanding when staining them. A few boards had some minor imperfections, but was easy to work around or use those for cutting to fit around windows etc. The wood absorbed the stain I chose well and came out with the exact color I was hoping for.It is a lot of work to stain and install these, and finishing nails left small nail pops in some areas on it - so if I was to do it all over again I'd probably change my installation method a little bit - but wasn't the fault of the material. Could probably put them up with just glue and almost no nails. Getting the spacing just right is tricky too, you really need two people and a spacer. My ceilings are high and these strips weren't long enough, so I built a soffit and put lighting in it that looks great on top of the wood wall panels. I painted the wall black pepper color first, then put the strips over that.I love overall how the wall turned out though, the room looks like it has thousands in custom work done that we did ourselves for very reasonable cost - but quite a bit of effort.

Quality is not good as described in the description. We were not able to use them at all. The return process is also not good. They sent a USPS return label with the shipping address with a postage required space. It is just a return print template. As the slats are 8 feet in length I am not able to take the package to USPS. The return process is very tedious. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

They arrived with a soot like substance on every single edge and smeared all over the face, turned your hands completely black and there was a burnt smell. Even if I was willing, there was no way to get them clean. They were supposed to be finished and ready to install. At $200 for 44 slats, I expected them to at least be clean. Huge pain to return a 8 foot long heavy box. However, they were nice and straight and the size was correct, so I did give them 2 stars for that. Such a shame.

Front face is veneered with walnut as shown, rear face is veneered with what "looks like" oak. In a way gives you two options in case you over-under estimate the coloration of the wood. The walnut veneer is true to scale, coloration and pattern of walnut. Kudos.5 Stars, even though late shipping and I will admit they need to change the saw blades more often as whatever back veneer they used splintered significantly more than lets say, a birch or maple (both of which I'm imagining are less cost to veneer). Compared to other "felt backed slat wall" options, if you're willing to do a little extra work, you can achieve the same effect for 'generally' less cost with an 18ga brad nailer and a trip to your local fabric store to buy some 20# felt at $6.99/yard.The veneer is applied to a (IMHO) high VOC (smelly) particle board (not mdf). Side edges are a general concern as a "wall applied" graphic with "some" acoustical properties. I.E. you see that it's a particle board composition on the sides.Generally I like walnut as it is, in this case is no exception. I did not stain it even though I bought stain at Lowe's to turn it slightly grey to match the room. The veneers are so thin that you see more of a light warm-gray color than the deep warm-gray you typically see with walnut.I've seen the reviews with the burned edges and such. That is either laser treated or sawblade burn, or excessive sawblade burn. I have zero burn anywhere on any edges. The pieces are 90% what I was hoping for and that is more than enough for a 5 star review. I know how to sandpaper the edges and use basic woodworking equipment to make up for the difference in cost compared to pre-manufactured felt-back panel systems that are outrageously expensive.

I have used this product for two projects and they have turned out great! The slats are lightweight and are very easy to work with. They do have some black substance on the edges, but that is easily wiped off if need be.For the accent wall (94"H x1/4"T in walnut), they were attached with Command strips - super easy and versatile in case I want to change it sometime in the future. Love! I did not need to wipe off the black edges for this project as the point is for them to blend with the background color.Since these were so easy to work with, I ordered another set (48"Hx1/4"T in red oak) to complete a faux board and batten project in my powder room. Very easy to cut (with a table saw) and stick/nail to the wall. All wood was applied within a few hours. For this project, I did wipe off some of the black edges before painting, but I don't think it was really necessary as the caulk that I applied pretty much covered it anyway.I am in love with both projects. They gave the finishing touch to both rooms. I am considering doing more projects around the house with this product!
