Received the tongs and noticed right away they were skewed. In other words, the tips of the tongs do not meet accurately, one is to the left of the other. I tried to bend things into place, but that didn't work.That said, they're good enough. I walk through my neighborhood a few times a week with the tongs and a garbage bag, and pick up trash. Makes the streets look much nicer, cuts down on plastic and cigarette butts going down the drains.

It even comes with a carrying case. I have paper trash blowing into my backyard from a recycling neighbor and have tried everything, from barriers, small fences, leaf blowers (that just left EVERYTHING dusty) and bought this. It cleaned my yard in an instant, it is very long so I’m not bending over at all (I’m 5’9”), I am picking up flat pieces of paper on cement and pavers. To be honest I didn’t think it would work on hard surfaces, it even picked up a single strand of shredded paper which flies into my yard separated and flat. No paper is too thin or thick, it even picked up a dried piece of poop from the neighbor’s dog as well!! Now I’m a lot calmer and solved my unneighborly situation… 😉

few things make me as irate as litter/litterbugs so i pick up trash whenever and wherever i can. i have a traditional grabber and it's fine, but i decided it was time to upgrade. after some research, i invested in this one because of the great reviews and it absolutely lives up to the hype. i love that it comes with a bag. the foam is very comfortable to hold. i find it to be less taxing to squeeze repeatedly than a traditional grabber and it picks up even the teeniest little pieces of paper. it's well-made and i think it will last me quite some time. very pleased with this purchase, don't hesitate to get it if you're looking for a quality grabber

Such a fantastic design! No real moving parts to break, and it's easier on the hand than others I've tried. I've been using it for about a year and have no complaints. I highly recommend either this one or one with a similar design (tongs style), it just works.

Update Feb 2025:I have 2 of these and both are still the best thing I've ever known, that will pick up the smallest bits of paper to somewhat large rock/heavy aggregate "stuff". If use causes the tips to become a little off center, it's a simple adjustment. That's only happened a couple of times, picking up bigger pieces of concrete etc. that these aren't designed for. We manage a preserved, 12+ acre virgin native prairie that's became surrounded by development over the last 50 years so we get all kinds of trash blowing around, and even neighboring homes that find tossing trash over the fence is OK. While I have 2 for myself that I've used personally, I'm adding another 1 or 2 as today, I'm part of the board preserving this prairie and I want the most effective and easy to use trash pickers for our volunteers to use. These are going into a trash picking kit that oddly, I'm pretty proud of. To add, I volunteer working one a much larger 2000-3000 acre preserve that's under perpetual restoration which includes a massive amount of trash picking. I pulled one of these on day and it got a lot of attention, folks that do this all the out there and they were blown away, having never seen them. These are folks picking trash in open areas, forest, creeks etc. These pickers rock!I was skeptical but after using it a few times in tough conditions, this thing rocks!!I can pick up the smallest pieces or paper, crushed cigarette butts, even out of tall and dense grasses etc.I can say enough about this! It's odd looking, could pass as a gimmick but honestly, it's very comfortable and overall just great! The storage bag is nice also as I keep it in my truck.Conditions I use it in is waist tall + and thick grasses and other plants along a busy curbed road where flattened cigarette buts get buried. If I can see it, this let's me pick it! Also run in large and heavy items of all kinds and so far, it gets everything.

Für unsere lokale Cleanup-Gruppe (ja, sowas gibt es, Leute, nehmt die Sauberkeit eurer Umgebung selbst in die Hand anstatt euch zu beklagen, wie es da aussieht) suchte ich einen geeigneten Greifer, der möglichst viel und ohne großen Krafteinsatz aufsammeln kann. Und genau dies tut dieses Gerät, wie wir erfreut feststellen konnten. Sehr gut für Zigarettenkippen, aber auch für jede andere Art von Müll bis hin zu Glasflaschen. Ergonomisch, denn das Gerät ist leicht, erfordert weniger Handkraft als andere Greifer, die wir schon hatten, es ist auch recht lang, so dass man ohne Bücken und auch mal tiefer ins Gebüsch damit kommt, um Dinge da rauszufischen.Überzeugt hat mich auch die einfach Konstruktion: Keine Seilzüge und Gelenke, die verschleißen können und Reibung haben, sondern allein die Federwirkung in der Biegung des Aluminiumrohrs lässt die Enden wieder zurück in die Ausgangsstellung kommen. Ich gehe daher davon aus, dass wir sehr lange Freude an diesen Greifern haben, von denen ich mittlerweile vier bestellt hab...

Great, I had so many grabbers because of my Mobility, but this one is the best to be honest, it's light, longer, and I can easily grab anything round me, as I am bed bound.I just get this today but with my experience I notice I can grabs much much better and it's strong, very strong. the others are weak or did not last long.I hope this will last long, and if not I will update you if I am still exist.Life is in Gad's hands.Take care of yourselves everyone.Name H.K

I use this, as a person with a bad back and to get to hard to reach places(under sofa etc) this is the best claw like tool replacement. Great at picking things up. The fact its metal and simple pressure design makes it strong enough to grab/ lift heavier objects unlike the plastic claw grabbers which have broken on me several times- this was my creative way at getting something long lasting. Great tool. Great for hard to reach places! Helps make life easier!!
