I got these for a micro-gram scale I have that can be less accurate for weights of less than 10 grams. The idea was to be able to add one (or more) of these weights to the tray with the smaller-weight items when needed, and not have to do complicated maths when taking its weight out of the calculation. Unfortunately, none of the weights *actually* are 10 grams, which sort of defeats their usefulness for my purposes. They actually range from 10.14 grams down to 9.83 grams. The closest to an actual 10 g being 10.01g, but most are .05 g or more off. So, if you are needing accuracy or uniformity in weight, this isn’t the set for you.That said, if a fluctuation of .3 g isn’t a big deal for you, then I don’t think this set would be a bad option. The weights are sturdy and seem to be a good quality. The bottom unit with the rod and hook is well connected and I don’t think would come apart anytime soon. The individual weights are held firm in place, unless tipped or removed. It would definitely do its job well for situations where small precision isn’t required.

great little kit of weights for science projects with the kids. Made of brass so they won't rust. decent price at 15 bucks for 10 weights at 10 grams each. I would recommend these if you need something like this for school.
