The hose is commonly used to connect basic, flame stabilizing, Meker, Tirrill, micro, and gas adjustable Bunsen burners. Hose measures 2 feet (0.6m) in length, and both ends are designed to fit gas inlet connectors with diameter of about 8-10mm. Inner diameter at tube ends measures approximately 7mm, and outer diameter is approximately 12mm.
NOTE: The hose should always be used in a lab setting connected to a gas jet and never connected directly to a fuel source. Due to the nature of neoprene, please inspect hose before every use to make sure there are no holes or cracks.

The hose cracked open on both ends within just a couple of years and with minimal usage. Very unsafe!

We purchased a few of these as alternatives to standard tubing for Bunsen burners in student labs. We really like them! The smaller internal diameter of the hose means that gas reaches the burner faster after opening the valve, and that less remains in the tube to dissipate into the room after the valve is shut off. Very flexible and easy to attach. Will likely buy more soon.

it seams to make a good tight steal on my barb fittings. hemostats cut it off fairly well. its nice an flexable even at lower temps past freezing. good it isnt reinforced as far as i can tell. and it is doesnt take heat well. be careful as always in these situations. but it makes changing burners a simple task. and doesnt try to move burners around.
