Bought this as a possible photography light stand clamp or as a way of hanging a flash or flash+umbrella from a sprinkler pipe or similar on location. It seems well built, the screw threads are smooth, the cork seems well applied to the jaws and isn't in danger of falling off (yet). The jaws would probably work with a single pipe up to about 2.5" in diameter, or maybe a pair of smaller pipes up to about 1.75" inches in diameter but no more than an inch apart (smaller diameter pipes could be wider apart - total jaw spread maybe a little over 4 inches)The main clamp itself has a 1" threaded rod protruding from the end, sadly that thread is not compatible with either 1/4"-20 or 3/8" standard photography threads, so it lacks that universal compatibility I had hoped for.The threaded rod does have a locking wing nut and second detachable stand clamp which would work well for holding the aforementioned umbrella or flash/umbrella combo if you have a way of mounting the flash to the umbrella shaft. That second clamp will accept a pipe or rod of up to something like 0.8" in diameter - but that's really pushing it.Overall, this is a well-made bit of DIY photography equipment, offering excellent value for those who value gaffer tape and paracord in their on-location bag!

It does it's job: holding my boiling flask on a heating element. It could be the frequent subjection to heat but the cork padding on the inside of the clamps has started slowly slipping off (I have to remove and replace the flask somewhat frequently). For the price, I'll deal with it. The hardware seems otherwise very well made and effectively serves its purpose.

Clamp works great and I like how it adjusts in and out a bit too. My 500mL filtration flask fits perfect on it. Love the cork too, great feel. Clamps tight and strong.

Firstly, let me say that I am waaay too busy to EVER take the time to review an item that I purchase from Amamzon, especially a glassware clamp, of which I own literally dozens and dozens. However, this clamp is of the best quality I have ever used, and I have used MANY different models at many different price points, and this is a great bargain. At first, in place of this clip, I was using one of those cheap little spring-loaded clips that keep the clamps open until the nut is tightened. It was being used to support my large Graham Condenser on one of my larger distillation apparatuses. Within a few weeks of adjustments, the spring-loaded clamp broke, as originally anticipated, and I quickly looked for a comparable, cheap replacement. I ordered this clamp and was stunned by how heavy it was, and how ell built it was. I first was worried about it being a little too heavy, since I was going to fix it to a piece of wood that is nailed into my lab bench, in place of a clamp stand. However, once in place, it was rock solid, and a aperture adjustment is so nice and smooth, and tightens so gradually, that I literally do not fear clamping ANY piece of glassware in this clamp. The cork lining just adds to the overall grip on the clamp, and makes it safer than clamping glass with exposed metal.Even those of you looking for higher-end, higher-priced clamps, do yourselves a favor and pick this one up!
