My husband and I hadn’t used a pre-paid SIM like this before, so we expected there to be some sort of setup process. Turns We hadn’t used a pre-paid SIM like this before, so we expected there to be some sort of setup process. Turns out, it’s super simple. Just pop the SIM card out of the plastic holder, insert it into your hotspot device, power it on, and you’re good to go. No activation or registration required. Our hotspot is a NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro.The only thing that threw us off a little was that it showed up as "Roaming data," and our IP address was from Brussels. While I didn’t run a speed test or anything, it felt no different from our previous monthly AT&T plan.Although the instructions mention creating an account to refill the SIM, its not required for setup, which is pretty awesome. Personally, I see the best use case as keeping one of these around for emergencies. The only real downside is that instead of being purely limited by data (GBs), it’s also limited by time. In our case, this was a 30-day/1GB prepaid plan. I’d love to see an option where you just buy 1GB and use it whenever, without an expiration date. That said, this was a great experiment and a much better deal than the ~$40/month AT&T plan we rarely used. out, it’s super simple. I had two problems: Very low bandwidth (128Kbps) and the "It thinks I'm in Belgium" which is a common problem I see on other reviews.I was able to chat online with a real human at www.eiotclub.com but it was tricky finding the Help menu. You have to go to the Refill page and enter your cards ICCID#. If that's valid, you (of course) have the option to buy more data. But MOST IMPORTANT, toward the top of the page there are 3-4 icons, one of which is a face wearing a headset. That's tech support Help chat. You can go through the FAQs, but if that doesn't work there's an option to get to LIVE support. And the wait times were very low for me both times I contacted them (nighttime in US).The Help tech was able to switch my service from T Mobile (default) -- where I was only getting 2G service -- to ATT (where I get full BW 4G service). The "I think you are in Belgium" is apparently due to the default APN setting "internet.proximus.be". Change that to "america.bics" per their instructions. (I had to factory reset my mobile hotspot, and didn't notice that the APN got reset back to the Belgium default.) I changed the APN and it has worked perfectly since then.

This sim card inserted easily and my unlocked Android 13 tablet recognized it and connected to my local T-Mobile network just fine - but it's unusable because no matter what settings I tweak my web browser thinks I'm in Brussels and the response time is glacially slow, like 1 mbps. As soon as I turn the sim off the location problem vanishes. I've googled for fixes and tried everything I can manage to find but it still thinks I'm in Brussels.
