I expected resonator bells, I got a small glockenspiel instead? Nothing at all like the product pictured.

These bells are great. They make a wonderful sound and are well tuned. For those living in small spaces like us, you may want to consider soft mallets.

I use these for bell choirs with my church children's music class. The colors make it easy to make charts for them to play along by matching the color or the letter. The colors are the same as most common hand bell sets. The tone is nice and not piercing, and I like the mallets. This is the 4th set I've bought but my oldest sets are three years old and the cases and bells are still holding strong (and that are played with a lot at home by small children). I've bought extra mallets and can store 8 mallets easily in the case.

I've been looking for nice but inexpensive bells for a while... and I finally found them! I love that they can separate so that each student in my group lessons can have one to try. Lovely sound and amazing price!

These are great! I ordered these and a cheap knock-off at the same time because I wanted multiple sets to use for "singing time" for the children at my church. The cheap set I ordered (through Amazon but I think shipped from China) is terrible and I should probably just put them in the trash. But this Rhythm Band set is really nice quality. I also own the Rhythm Band 13-Note Chromatic Handbells and while the handbells are great for some things- especially when I need more than just 8 notes, these Resonator Bells are so easy to use, as well as easier to take to church with me since they're in a nice, compact carrying case. The kids can't ring them obnoxiously like the handbells. And these are easy to hold, so if I want to hold 2-3 in my hand at once I can. I definitely recommend these resonator bells!FYI, I made some extra mallets (so I can pass out bells to multiple children) by buying a set of craft dowels and carefully drilling holes in large gumballs. I thought I'd be able to mod podge the gumballs in case a kid stuck one in their mouth, but that didn't work at all! So I hairsprayed the gumballs once they were on the dowels and so far they seem to be holding up fine. The kids don't know they're gumballs on the end, of course... as long as my own children don't spill the beans! :)
