Got this to use for hard boiled eggs as it says in the description. I have a tough time getting them off easily and thought this would help. It does not. When I looked at the listing more closely it is really focused on cracking fresh eggs. This is not something I have a challenge with. They should make the product description more accurate.

The egg shell opener by New Noam doesn't seem to work as easily as it is presented to do so. You should be able to crack and open the shells of raw or cooked eggs and the unit should keep the shell in the unit without getting anything in your bowl. I have not tried it with raw eggs to be honest but got it because it made me think that I would be able to easily peel boiled eggs with no effort. Even holding down the metal clips which is how you crack the shell it did not crack the egg shell all the way around instead just pulled back the shell where the metal clasps are. i am disappointed by this item and feel that it needs further design work to do as it says.

I fell for those videos, did you? If you didn't buy it yet just walk away now.No, it will NOT peel boiled eggs, it literally rips them in half, with both sides still inside their shell. I tried like 10+ boiled eggs, ALL ripped in half, not even a partial victory. I'll just stick to manually peeling them.This thing is worthless. It's actually easier for me to crack eggs by hand. The plastic connector in between broke after a few uses and it's actually harder to align it. It's inconvenient to use.

Arrived in small box.Thought it might solve the issue of weak hand strength for someone but after some trials it was agreed the back of a knife blade worked with fewer steps, less mess and more utilitarianism. It did have minor amusement value trying to make it work.
