I bought this hammer since my 6 year old was starting to build projects through Home Depot's "Kids Workshops". It is the right size for me, as he started with the ones at the store, but we learned to bring out own with as popular as it got, and there were a few times we had to wait 3-5 minutes before getting our hands on a hammer.Good tool for little ones to start to learn how to hammer in nails, and it has the weight behind it to still be useful.

I bought this small hammer so I could hang some pictures and other small tasks. I found it to be perfect size. I have always had trouble with large hammers due to the weight and not being able to fit them into a small space. This hammer is a wonderful tool to have to do the small household tasks. I highly recommend everyone keep one in their toolbox!

The hammer is perfect for or 90% of the hammering you'll likely need to do. I bought it because it's smallish and easy to carry on my back. As a handyman in NYC, this is of paramount importance!IE: this is great for being lightweight, and totally effective for building furniture, hammering into drywall and plywood, etc.However, if I were a construction worker framing houses out of wood, I'd want a conventionally sized hammer.

The head of this little hammer is fairly standard size. It is not lightweight, just as others have said. Knowing that it wasn't lightweight is why I ordered it. It is very easy to grip with the rubber handle. Handle also has the cutouts so that gives you better grip even if your hand is sweaty. Not sure I like the standard size head as it's use was for small places, but it does give the head size in the descriptions and pictures so either way it will make a nice addition to the toolbox.

The hammar has a smooth face instead of a waffle face as advertised. If you are after a waffle face, might need to look else where.I would like an exchange, but couldnt find an option for that. So instead of refunding and buying a new one, I kept this one just because I didnt want to go through the hassle of sourcing for a new one.
