I am a home owner who painted the whole old house before putting it on the market. Now I need to paint the new house. I bought this tool to speed up the painting process so I would NOT have to use tape to mask off the wood trim and baseboards, but with using this tool it actually took longer. The paint would somehow find its way to the side that was supposed to stay clean and then it took more time to clean the blade than it would if I had just taped it off. Yes, it could be with more practice and experience, utilizing this tool would be a plus, but who has time for that. Maybe it makes a better tool for finishing dry wall.

I am not a professional painter but have plenty of painting experience from my DIY projects. Instead of using masking tape or the edging tool with small wheels and a pad you can use this tool. I have mixed feelings on it. This is fairly easy to use on smooth flat walls, however if a wall has texture of contours, then another method of edging would be easier as this will not seat flush against the wall. Using this did save time compared to masking off the edges with tape and then having to remove the tape afterwards.

If you are doing any painting at all you definitely need this. You don't you know you need this until you have one LOL. It makes cutting in around trim so easy. Or if you're doing an accent wall it leaves a perfect line in the corner. Works perfect and will last you forever. Great price for a must-have tool

This is such an upgrade from using the edging pad with wheels. It works best on a smooth or semi smooth surface. Not good for Rough knock-down but that’s to be expected.

Too big for what I needed for painting ceiling edge. and also was not perfectly straight bend in the middle which allowed paint to seep through defeating the purpose.

This did not protect our baseboards from paint.
