While boiling cabbage leaves for chemistry experiments is cool, it takes forever and is a big mess. This is a much better portable option to use in my homeschool community class.

This was a LIFE SAVER. We did this same experiment last year with cabbage juice that I made myself and it didn’t work well. My house smelled awful for days. With this product our experiments went as expected and I have SO much left over for future projects.

Had to have some red cabbage extract for a science experiment. I did not want to make my own nor did I have the time. This worked GREAT!!!! Exactly what I needed, and it worked so well in our experiment!! Yeah! No huge clean-up and it is small to store for another time/use.

Not even sure how to begin describing how awesome this is. I used to buy a head of purple cabbage and boil it to make cheap indicator. I would always end up with a stinky kitchen and about a gallon leftover that I would freeze and hope I remembered for the next event. This is amazing - takes little space, makes a very big amount and even spawns another experiment as the girls try to calibrate the pH test. I highly recommend this product! Shipped quicker when ordering through Amazon.

I was looking for a substitute for the Universal pH Color Indictor because it comes with a Health Warning. This Reb Cabbage Extra pH KIT is EXCELLENT because it shows the pH differentiation in colors that is matched to a pH scale in the kit, and it is SAFE.
