This is a quality needlework frame with a good variety of scroll rod and stretcher bar sizes. The clamps are easy to use and fit snugly. It arrived quickly, well packed and in great condition. I recommend this, and would buy again from this seller.

I am so pleased with this purchase. The value for money is old school. Great value! I was able to put it together in just minutes which means I was stitching right away. Pleased indeed. Light weight but very strong, three different sizes and frames up two different projects at a time. All wood parts are smooth and in a natural state. No coatings on the frame. The plastic clamps are very strong and therefore keep great tension on your work. A nice looking we’ll made sturdy product that I am very happy with.

I previously used bars that you actual had to sew the project to the fabric. Too time, not easy, but kept the project very taut. Then I used the bar/clamp system that had a split bar and screw to clamp. That was very difficult to align properly and keep tight. Quit that real quickly. This Edmunds handi-clamp is very easy to use and align properly, and takes very little time. The only issue is that it doesn't keep the project as taut as I would like, but good enough. The other thing that only time will tell, is that the plastic clamps and whether the will lose their tightness over time being taken on and off. For now, love it (mostly). I would buy again.

I have been using the Q snap frame for cross stitching for quite some time, but for the larger projects they simply don't work as well. Fabric gets distorted and dirty from so much handling, and all the extra fabric just gets in the way. I switched to the split wood scroll frames, and found that I could never get the fabric taught and I was constantly fussing with it and using large binder clips to keep the fabric where I wanted it to be. After I discovered this Handi Clamp, I will never go back to using either of my old frames for large projects again! This brings together the best of both the Q snap frame and the scroll frame. As others have said, there was some difficulty the first time I put the fabric on the frame - it wouldn't get evenly taught, or it would be slightly crooked. But once I mastered this technique (after 15 minutes), it works like a dream. I can even use this frame for hours at a time, and the fabric is still nice and taught - Not something the split wood frames can do at all.My project is actually larger than the size of the bars, with a finished design at 26w X15h and fabric closer to 32w x 22h. it wouldn't normally fit, but with this frame I am able to just fold over the excess fabric and work that way. This is also an impossibility on the split wood frames, because the extra layer of fabric creates a bigger gap on one side of the scroll bar, causing the new stitching area to be even more loose. My ONLY complaint with this product is that if I want to attach it to a stand or lap frame (I own the Edmunds sit-on frame), I am not able to turn the frame over to finish my thread on the back because the knobs get in the way. I get around this by just not using a stand, and I prop the frame on a pillow while I am on the couch. This way I still get the "hands-off" approach and can use one hand on the front and one on the back to quickly stitch. Works great for me.All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone working on larger projects.

This set is much nicer than I expected. The wood looks very nice and has no sharp edges of splinters. It keeps the cloth tight and I like it better for this large piece I just started, rather than a hoop. However, the pvc bars are VERY difficult to remove. I considered returning it almost immediately as I was trying to remove them. After about 5 minutes I considered asking my fiancé for help (but I'm very stubborn). Eventually I discovered that if you twist the ends of the pvc in opposite directions around the rods as much as you reasonably can, then attempt to remove it is much easier to get off.My second complaint is that it was difficult to to insert the cloth evenly. It kept moving on me and came out angled instead of even. It just took a couple tries though and I got it.Difficult to operate but once it's set up, it's a nice set. I would recommend it.

I love this scroll frame! I am a novice cross-stitcher and have tried many different things.. split rod scroll frames, hoops, even q-snaps. Everything seemed "ok" but never quite comfortable enough.I had seen this product on Amazon for a while and read the reviews, but held off on it because of the price for a while.I finally bit down and decided to purchase it to try it out in hopes that it would be better than what I had tried before.WORTH EVERY PENNY!It keeps my aida and linen tight (though I did have to use the trick where you have to put some cloth under the clamp.. but that's ok!) and works like a dream! I wish I had gotten this much earlier. The only downside I've noticed is with the clamp, it is *super* tight when you first get it so it was hard for me to take off, but I managed. After a while it will become much easier to take on and off. Also, as I mentioned I do have to sometimes use a small piece of fabric under the clamp to secure my aida/linen if there isn't enough material to stay under the clamp. I don't mind in the long run though, as I had to do the same with the q-snap anyway.Overall, highly recommended for even the beginner! Trust me, you'll love it!

The order arrived within four days. The pipe is so smooth. No worry of cloth snagging on it. Some have said they had a problem in getting the pipe off the rod. I found if I stood the rod up vertically and push down on it to get a little more of the rod to show at the top so to get my hand around more of the wood then with the other hand on the pipe, twisted while pulling, it came off quite easily. It is very easy to get the cloth set up in it and it holds very nicely. Just follow the directions. I like the knobs better than others I have had with the metal wing nuts. Very good product.Nice variety of rod sizes.
