Purchased one of these to replace my mother-in-law's ice maker on her Whirlpool fridge. After installation, wait about 8-10 hours and you should start having ice.

It was close to the oem one..i didnt need the other types of wiring connectors as it plugged right in. I installed myself and first time. You need to cut the area where the water chute sits in the tray(see pic). I didnt notice it and had to remove it from the fridge again. If you remove the plastic water chute make sure its mounted properly too. One screw holds in it and theres a nipple that centers it as well. You dont get it the nipple in..the water will drip behind panel down towards the evap coils. So far its working great..see how long it lasts. Pic with finger is where you need to cut out for the chute on the new one.

Super easy to install, everything I needed was in the box. Assembled quickly, plugged right in, cranking out ice just like when the freezer was new. Build quality looked good and very close in appearance to the OEM part.

This fit our French door Kenmore refrigerator. I did have to reuse the existing wiring harness. Two are provided with the icemaker, but neither would fit. Started making ice in one hour!

I bought this to replace the ice maker in my 13 year old whirlpool that was leaking. It was easy to install. The instructions were great although not needed. Just hook it up the way you take the other one out. I will say this is much better than the original. This one makes ice a lot faster! You do have to watch it because if your like my family and do not use a bunch of ice, in two days the bin is overflowing. Definitely recommend this for a replacement if your looking.

This ice maker worked for 2 months then quit after purchasing it in April 2023. Good luck with the "one year warranty" - very funny!! Thought it was the water inlet valve but found it wasn't after replacing it. The ice maker will only cycle half turn and jam. Amazon said it was beyond the 30 day return window because it worked for 2 months. They were able to give me a "one-time" return authorization for a 10% restocking fee. I need to return a piece of junk that doesn't work and pay 10% of the cost to have the pleasure of installing this piece of junk, then un-installing it, and return it back to them so they can throw it out. I tried to contact the seller- Edgewater Parts through Amazon, but could only get so far. I looked up the seller on line and filed a inquiry with them explaining the situation but received NO response after 2 weeks. I will be returning the ice maker and pay the 10% fee because it is my only option.

I purchased this to replace my old worn out Whirlpool ice maker.Comes with extra cables in case your brand doesn't match.Removal and installation took about 12 minutes. A socket with an extension helps a lot.Within an hour it was making ice. After 12 hours the ice bin is about 1/4 full. So far it seems to be operating as expected.A good value repair versus a new fridge or calling in a maintenance guy.

Comes with all the pieces needed. I just had to cut aprox 1.5 cm of the water input channel so it would fit right, otherwise it wont feed the water at all. I fixed appliances around the house before, but 1st time working on my fridge. It was easy to install after reviewing a couple of YouTube videos, I saved a lot of money doing it by myself and learned a lot on how to test the part, level it, etc. It was making ice after 5 hours or so. I would say that is very easy to install, If I could do it with the limited tools I have in my kitchen drawer, then anyone can. It's been 4 weeks and its working great!
