It’s really hard to clamp down with the cutter. Also, the blade wasn’t necessarily sharp enough to cut. Didn’t leave a clean cut on any of my projects.

We recently added some cabinets to my son's playroom, and we needed some extra shelving. I got some 3/4" plywood and some edge banding and got to work. The edge banding was 3/4" but it overhung the edge just a little bit. This little gizmo took care of that with just a few passes. Now do be careful and clean it out in between each pass or you will cause a hang up. Other than that, it works exactly like it should, so much easier and faster than trying to use a razorblade!

I used to use a chisel to trim edge banding but this is easier and more uniform. It did take a minute to get how to make it work well but after that it's a breeze to use. Also quicker. I like that you can take it apart and trim one side. Haven't needed that yet but I like that I can if I ever want to. I should have gotten this a long time ago.

This review is for the following item: Edge Banding Trimmer, Edge Trimmer with 30 Degree Carbide Manganese Steel Blade, Pneumatic 4 Cutting Edge Trimmer for All DirectionsI am always needing shelves for my potted plants, or storage areas. I use an iron on edging strip to make the shelves look "finished" rather than a rough plain wooden edge. This trimmer makes it a breeze to evenly cut off any excess trim with little effort.I use it together and trim both sides of the board with the trim at the same time, but you can use it only on one side if that is all you need. This has definitely been a game changer and now I don't dread having to trim the edging strips.

It took me a bit of trying to get the hang of using this, but it works great!I have some shelving that someone put an edge piece on, but they didn't trim it properly and it's been very annoying for a long time. I tried to shave it with a file, but that only made things worse.I got this and the first thing I did with it was trim that. It worked fantastic! My buddy does a lot of cabinet work and I showed this to him. He bought one immediately and said it's saved him a ton of work in only a few weeks.

So, it took me some time to make it work as smoothly as I wanted. After getting it down, it was fast and easy to use. I have been working on projects around the house and in my craft room. This is an excellent tool for your bag if you are working with wood projects or giving a new edge to something old.

I didn't get a chance to use this tool with a thicker material yet, but I added some wallpaper to an old bookcase and it worked well on that. The package arrived without any replacement blade and even though there is an option to replace the blades, there is no info on where to get them or if they can be sharpened.
