Designed to adjust the engine for correct position.
Used with 1/2" drive wrench.
This tool is used to bar the engine over for service procedures, installs to engage the flywheel teeth and rotate the engine using standard square drive hand tools.

Works great, just make sure to use proper size bolts ( M8-1.5 if Freighliner Columbia ) and also make sure to tighten the tool flat to surface so you don’t stress it and brakes.

I received this tool and one of the welds was broken when I opened the package. This was broken before it was painted. The must not be any quality control as there are only two small tack welds.

Perfect tool for turning DD15 engine. Bolt it to flywheel housing and use 1/2 drive ratchet to turn engine. Great price! Costs 3 times as much from a well known tool dealer that comes to repair shop.

What I disliked about it was that the drive end faced the oil pan and there was no room for ratchet. After some modifications it did fine.

Works really well almost no effort to rotate the engine. I was surprised at how easy it is the issue I would have is I wish that it came with the bolts necessary to use it. But don't cross the gears you will break the welds if this is done but I just welded the again.

Works as expected. One of the pins that hold one of the gears in keeps falling out but it's a pressed in pin so maybe I just need to tap it back with a hammer instead of just pushing it back with my fingers. Worth the $40 I paid though compared to the $200 for actually OEM tool
