Easy to replace and my badly slipping Buick is like new now. (Credit also has to go to the new fluid and the Lucas of course)

I got the product quickly and it even came with a rubber gasket , which I didn't use because the original is a metal gasket and was still in good shape. The filter fit perfect and the price was great . Very impressed and satisfied with this purchase. 👏

INSTALLED ON 2002 BUICK PARK AVENUE. The quality was pretty good, it was made of plastic on one side which replaced the ALL METAL one that came original on my GM or Buick Park Avenue that said MADE IN THE USA. This one is made in CHINA or somewhere else. The hardest part was removing Donut/Adapter/Shim from the transmission hole. I had to use a special puller from SnapOn to get a wedge pulling it down towards floor but then that was not very easy I didnt want to scratch the transmission hole too much so i ended up using a small chisel and small hammer to crush it around towards the center to then yank it out... it is a small grommet/adapter that you stick in the transmission hole then the filter tube (about 9/16" diameter i think) is pushed up in that hole and is held up hanging essentially from transmission. there is no other hardware that holds up the filter in this buick. ,,,,, thats why i gave it 3 starts for ease of install. For my particular one. which was ECOGARD XT1201 for buick park avenue, which also fits other cars,,, Transmission Filter Kit for 1992-2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette, 1992-1999 88, 1996-1999 LSS, 1998-2002 Intrigue, 1994-1996 Cutlass Ciera, 1991-1996 98, 1991-1996 Cutlass Supreme

Real Rubber Gasket, Easy bolt line up a bit of a trick if you don't want to use bubble gum LOL, the gasket will lay pretty much flat. Prior to lifting the pan with the gasket on top of pan fit one bolt through pan and gasket, lift evenly into position hand turn the "the lineup bolt" hand turn it about 5 threads. Carefully let pan rest back down on bolt head this give a lot of space to make sure your second "lineup bolt at or near the other end goes trough the gasket also. I then turned both bolts to lift the pan up into a close position of about one eighth of an inch from its mating surfaces. The rest of the bolts lined up and went through fine,. Filter well that was real simple, till I started putting the pan up into position, found out I needed to do a better line up and then the filter fitted the rest of the way up and in. This particular car "to me" seems to have a to snug fit and only seem to have about a quarter inch to clock left and right whilst walking this up and in palm slapping or pushing . "Then again I left the old uptake gasket in" This is so easy that a motivated 9 year old should be able to handle this situation with parent supervision of course.
