I don’t think anyone makes a better breaker than Eaton. So when it can time to install a GFCI breaker for my hottub I didn’t hesitate to go with their 50A GFCI. I soak for hours without worry of the unit failing.

Faster response than the single pole combination GFCI AFCI pon breakers that are upstream. Even the inspector was amazed. Does the job for ground faults. Eaton customer service also top notch when I had questions.

The good: working from photo of outdoor box, it’s easy to connect. (Note that “test” button doesn’t work until connected to power.). The bad: these are incredibly expensive compared with similar GFCI devices that lack the white pigtail. If I weren’t dealing with 240V I might just try to … ZAP!

Ordered from Shine and Sparkle seller. Breaker began faulty tripping shortly after install and was confirmed defective by an electrician. Despite Eaton warranty of 10 yrs, Shine and Sparkle messaged back that would only honor a 30day return. Spent weeks getting refund back via Amazon instead.
