Great sander. Easy to adjust sanding belt head to reach the desired angle. Belts are easy to replace. Powerful electric motor makes quick work of the project. The factory belt is very aggressive. I recommend ordering additional belts for fine sanding. Sorry I didn't think of this option 2 years ago when attempting to sharpen the mowing blades on my zero turn. Handy device for sure.

These electric finger tip belt sanders are awesome. Adjustable head makes it super easy to get into tight spaces. Provides a great finish and blend after chasing welds down with a grind stone.

I found this electric belt sander works better for me as I work from home in my garage. I’m not a pro, just a weekend warrior . I have a compressor but some tools are better as electric for me than the air tools.

I used this tool to grind away weld remnants so I could weld new parts in the same place. The narrow abrasive allowed me to keep the material removal in the right place without getting into good metal that I didn’t want to damage.

I chose this over the Wen because it has twice the power. And while I don't know if I will need that, I might. It works well enough, it has a cheap feel when I move the angle. And the belt lock feels cheap and doesn't sort of click in place when tight. Its just a little too long and pops off the curve when moved. The bad part about this thing is that it uses a 10mm metric screw to change the blade, they include the allen key, but include nothing to attach it to the sander. So you will lose it right away, like I did. Its someplace... I plan on printing a new knob and maybe a new tension lever. How useful is this thing? I would say it falls between a dremel and an oscillating saw. You won't use it a lot, but then there is that one job you can't quite get a file into. Where you want to sand down a rivet head, or a sharp edge on a weird pipe. I do find that the edge can get caught on things, and then it just slides over the wheel because there isn't enough tension. Or maybe that's a good thing, it prevents the belt from breaking. Its good for sanding between posts, or adjusting a shim and sanding it down. But its also awkward to use because the handle is long, and the vent blows right into your face. It really should be pointed down. Its not loud, it sounds similar to a head trimmer. Probably the same motor.

I am a chainsaw carver and bought this mini belt sander to use in tight places. It does the job great!
