Mine measures 0.248” (1/4) spindle, 0.437” (7/16) lg diameter, 2.626” (1 5/8) overall length, 1.5” threaded taper. Black coating came off a bit at chuck, but not on taper. Buffs without shellac or plastic centers eventually work themselves all the way to the large end of the taper, but remained on the taper. “Threads” are not too sharp or deep. Edges are not too sharp. Used with 4” buffs.
