One of my band members didn't like standing with guitar straps. He had been using a normal kitchen stool which was heavy and awkward. I needed something lighter and more portable. This stool is light, easy to fold out and has padded comfort. My band member was totally satisfied with this stool.

I love that the stool came already assembled. It’s very sturdy and easy to use.

The guitar holder base arms are *fixed in place*. So, if you have a Steinberger (photo 1), this isn't the product for you! The Amazon Basics stand, photo 2, has foldable arms, 8" when unfolded, but they're reversible--probably an unintended benefit of making the package smaller to reduce shipping costs--and the folded arms are 3"). This product's arms are 10" across; They hold a thin-bodied Tele, Strat, Les Paul, or Ric fine. The Berger Spirit GT Pro's bottom is 8".Could you bend the arms? Possibly but you'd have to take the base assembly apart and clamp each arm before bending. The arms--which feel beefy--are welded on to the bracket and you don't want to bend across the weld because it could break. Or you could add a fabric pocket or wrap dead guitar cables across the arms to make a platform. One other concern: the arms aren't straight/flat and an acoustic guitar may end up resting on its edge, i.e., the binding, and bindings have a nasty and expensive habit of separating from the body. 'Lectrics are thinner and fewer models have binding (which is a design feature that pretties up the joints where the back and top are joined to the body). If you're lucky enough to have a White Falcon (3" thick), this might not be the best choice. Photo 3: Martin 000-28EC is not in its best position--note how the binding is carrying the weight? Photo 4 shows the instrument properly positioned, leaning back more and resting farther out on the arms, thereby taking the pressure off the front/top binding.I'm 5'8" and I have to sit down just a bit--easy on, easy off. There's no height adjustment, so if you're vertically challenged, you might have to climb to get onto the seat.Overall, good design but it could be a bit better. Hoping this stand is the guitar player's version of the printer's devil!

Just the right height for me. I play much better than compared to sitting down. The guitar rack works well, but overall, I wish it was sturdier.

Bought this for my husband in order to save space in our camper. He loves it! It folds up easily & is sturdy enough for him to feel comfortable while playing. The guitar stand attachment is a bonus. Thinking of getting him another one for the house.

Nice stool to sit on and play your guitar. Two places to rest your foot and a secure place to rest your guitar when you take a break. Light weight that folds to take any place you want to sit and play. Great buy!
