This heavy weight ball is great for baseball or softball practice. My niece loves using this to practice her softball pitches. The extra weight helps her build strength for when she pitches the actual softball. Although it is heavy, it is softer than a usual baseball. It is not too hard so you do not have to worry about the ball seriously injuring anyone but it can still hurt. The weight ball is also very bright in color to make it easier to see. You can easily either catch it or dodge it. It is more likely to see the weight ball. The ball is easier to grip so you do not have to worry about the ball slipping. It also makes it easier to practicing pitches. It does get dirty pretty easily and noticeable on the yellow color material. Overall this is a good ball to have for training in baseball or softball. It does a good job with endurance, it is durable, and it grips well. The only complaint I have is that it gets dirty easily.

I'm not positive if this will affect your bat, but I've always been told to use a spare/older bat for batting cages and practice, so likewise we use an older bat with these heavyweight balls. (Ie. Don't use your expensive game bat! :-) )I use this with my little league son and I think any variation of a drill or something heavyweight like this is good and he really enjoys practicing and playing.These are a good weight for both of us to use.

What a great tool to strengthen any throwing arm and batting swing. The bright color makes them highly visible to stand apart from standard baseballs and these are so durable. I'm hoping my kids don't lose these but if they do I'll definitely buy more!

I'm very happy with the quality of these heavyweight training balls. One thing that I really like about them compared to a lot of competitors are the faux raised seams that mimic the seams of a real baseball. Many competing products are just made from a smooth cover. This version allows for throwing while still being mindful of the grip that is being used and also makes it easier to use the "seams" to spin the ball.

These are not much different than any of the other balls like this. They are great for hitting in a small area as they are 'dead' and don't go very far. Also makes sure that you swing all the way through the ball.

My teenage son loves to use these during batting practice. He can practice his swing without having the ball clear the neighborhood. It is also good for arm strength. These are well made, and we will be adding more in the future.

This is a three pack of heavy weight training balls they’re very nice made of rubber and they’re obviously waited on the inside I feel like they’re very reasonably priced and definitely do help strengthen your arm I would definitely recommend and would get again
