While this is definitely fun and has been used quite often at our house, these are not super durable. It didn't take very long for the string to break. My kids might have been a little rough with their throws, but I was surprised to find 3 out of 4 had broken. We still have one ball thats holding on tightly to its string, and my boys definitely love playing with it.

The balls aren't hard, the quality is decent, but the elastic is far too long/stretchy for a self catching game. My old one was half the length, and was perfect for self catching. You have to make sure your kid is some good at hand eye coordination or they're liable to smack themselves with the ball.

Fun! Perfect for baseball lovers! Used for favors at son’s birthday party (bunch of baseball players) they loved them! Not to mention great for hand/eye coordination.
