For work during the pandemic I had to scan everyone coming in. Most people were 97.oo something when using a forehead scanner. I believe using an ear scanner is much more accurate.

This ear thermometer is not accurate at all. Measured 3 people's (2 adults and 1 kid) as per manufacturer instruction (straight into ear canal), all came back to over 100°F. Used my old thermometer and came out 98°F. The only time I got 98°F reading was when I measured it on outter canal. The manufacturer didn't calibrate the device before sending it out. Questionable quality control on its product. I'm returning it

Worked as should be. Easy to use.No problems and within 0.3 accuracy compared to old glass tube in the mouth type.

I like the fact it seems to read temperature accurately in the ear (but see below).I do NOT like the fact it doesn't work unless you have the plastic ear tips on. What if you don't recall where they are when you're feverish?It's easy enough to fix with a drop of superglue and a toothpick that fixes the eartip detector into active position, but I still find it a design flaw motivated by the urge to keep selling you eartips at an inflated price. When I want to take my temp, I don't want interim steps. And alcohol wipes exist for a reason.also, when i measure my temperature again a few times, the results can vary by up to 3F... but the first reading seems accurate.

I like you can turn the sound off, makes it much easier to use on my cats. I do not like that the screen turns red when it thinks a human is having a fever. Cats tend to run 100 degrees or so and the red screen makes reading the temp difficult. I got it with a coupon and it had overnight delivery when I needed it most to monitor a sick animal, so that was great. Overall it’s been a good purchase.
