Should have purchased this rotisserie sooner. Dyna glo heavy duty 9 watt rotisserie. This one works great, no Jerking or slack in drive motor gears. Easy to install on my expert 4 burner gas grill. Fantastic rotisserie.

The box arrived from Amazon torn up and missing 2 different parts, including the spit! I called up dyna glo and the guy I spoke to was incredibly helpful and professional. Dyna glo sent out a brand new in box complete set. The same day! I would buy from this company again, anyday.It mostly fit on my husband's Char-griller. The brackets got in the way of the lips on the lid. Might try mounting them on the inside.We tried it out yesterday on a whole chicken. It came out beautifully cooked with tender breast. I'm really looking forward to trying Lamb!

Unfortunately, when I ordered this it was an add on you could buy to go with the barbecue we bought, same brand. Well I was so excited to have barbecued chickens I didn't double check to make sure it went with this particular barbecue. So my fault and had to return.

After working for several hours to install this rotisserie, I conclude there are 2 parts to this product—the rotisserie and the mount. The motor, spit, and spit forks are excellent. The spit itself is a substantial upgrade from my former rotisserie kits; it is a single, heavy-gauge rod. In contrast, my old spits threaded together to form a wimpy solution. And the motor on this kit is also a substantial upgrade. My former kits featured 3W motors and I understand now their lack of power caused their early failures. This 9W motor spun a 13lb turkey with no struggle. But, let’s talk about that universal mount. After battling for hours, I became rather familiar with it. At first glance, it offers 30 possible fixed mounting combinations. Your actual options are much more limited. Any mounting position that holds the spit too high is useless because your grill’s lid is the non-negotiable portion of this installation. You need to begin with the mount a bit too low and then move it up slightly until the spit, motor and slot in your grill’s lower half line up. The designers of this mount need to modify it so you can slide the motor up to the right height and lock it in place. However, you still need to be able to remove that motor when the grilling is done because you don’t want to leave the motor out in the rain. While I did ultimately find the right adjustment, I am going to lose that adjustment when I remove the motor. Do I recommend this product? Yes, but you must set aside some time to install and adjust the mount. The rotisserie kit scores a 5. The mount scores a 3.

Steer clear of this spit. You're being setup for failure if you rely on this junk.First, the kit arrived without the extender -- highly annoying but a visit to Home Depot allowed us to work around this shortfall.Second, claiming this thing is rated for 50lbs is a joke and completely misleading. We had a 17lb suckling pig tightly tied to spit rod. The motor crapped out after 1 hour. We checked the power source, extension cord, and motor cord. All were working fine. The 9W motor was the problem.Do not buy this spit package.

They advertise it as UNIVERSAL, and you would think that it will fit all the Dyna-glo BBQ models... But NO! It doesn't fit their charcoal grill series. Not the DGN576SNC-D model anyway... I had to drill holes and take one side tray out to fit the mounting brackets of the rotisserie, and I can't close the lid over it. So yeah... major disappointement!

I've used other rotisserie motors on my grill In the past. I have a 30 inch wide 4 burner master forge grill and I think the old rotisseries came from lowes or home depot. The old ones were not heavy duty and took a lot of careful balancing to make it work. If it got out of balance it would just stop turning which is no good if you dont watch it all the time. So that old thing just sat in the cabinet under the grill rusting because it wasnt any good. Then I signed up to do a turkey for thanksgiving and needed a new one. Chose a heavy duty one this time This 9W heavy duty motor is a beast and I couldnt stop it with my hands on the tines. I'm very happy with it, the chrome finish cleaned off very easily and my "test chicken" is perfect. It rotates at the perfect speed and doesnt slow down or speed up with slight imbalances. Looking forward to doing my bigger turkey now.
