I use it to change a water filter in my house that is hard to get off. It works great for that even if that may not be what it was designed for. Should work good for large size oil filters also.

The Oil Filter Pliers are okay, but the 3 Jaw Adjustable Oil Filter Removal, is very cheap made. Broke the first time I used it. I decided to keep this order because the oil filter pliers I think will last.
