I am 'over the moon' with my new Cinnamon colored faux woodstove! Having struggled with a REAL woodstove for 22 yrs, OMG, where do I start? I LOVE the incredibly authentic looking flickering flames, they are just as soothing and mesmerizing as the real thing. I LOVE the remote control, so I can turn it on before I get out of bed, OMG!! I LOVE that I can adjust the thermostat and set a timer and adjust the flame height. I LOVE the real beveled glass and real metal (it was packed beautifully, by the way - kudos to the packing designers!). Its elegant and festive and adds so much warmth and visual delight. It brings the fire element into my home. It puts out plenty of heat. I have a 650 square foot home and it gets warm enough I have to keep turning it off. I live in Northern CA on the coast, so the climate is mild but damp. I LOVE that I get all this at the push of a button - I'll never have to haul logs or clean ashes out of this beauty - hip, hip, hooray!

I was very pleased with this product when it first arrived - solid construction, charming style, good heat output, lovely flame effect. Now that it has been used through 3 long winters, I have to report that it has exceeded expectations. It still looks and works just like it did right out of the box. One of my best Amazon purchases ever!

I purchased the Duraflame fireplace because my house faces the West and on a small hill. My living room is always chilly in the winter. The living room is not large enough for a wood burning fireplace but this freestanding fireplace fits perfectly and is very sturdy. When delivered all you need to do is put the legs on and plug it in. There is a remote you can use to turn it on and off, change the temperature setting and adjust the fan speed. The logs look realistic and you can see them from the sides too. The outside of the fireplace doesn't get hot to touch. It can be used to take the chill off the room or leave it on for the evening. Not much difference in the electric bill, mostly used to help warm the living room without turning up the furnace.

Arrived promptly. Packaged well. Very easy installation of legs (have an extended Phillip head screwdriver on hand) seems to work very well. Very attractive. Flames as realistic as can be expected with electric. Low noise. Good heat output. Only thing I wish... be able to see the display without opening the door. Crackling flame noise effect would be nice. Temperature doesn't seem to be able to be adjusted via remote control (only manually) I'll read the manual see if temp control can be adjusted via remote. All in all, very happy.

This item exceeded our expectations. It's a winner in our book. We have had many duraflame heaters and have loved them all. Our previous ones all heated from below. Since a recent purge we were unable to locate them. We decides to order a new one. We were excited to try this one. Love the color options. A bit pricier than we would have liked but well worth it. it puts out a good bit of heat. Heating our large almost 800 sq ft room at only a setting of 64 degrees within 20 min. We actually had to turn the ceiling fan on to circulate the air. This baby pumps out heat. The light settings ,on the logs, for effect are gorgeous. After heating the room, we opted for just the flames on for effect. Nice ambient light and mood. We chose red, instead of our classic bronze and are so glad we did. It's a beautiful color, glossy finish. We have never been disappointed with duraflame in the past and have picked another winner yet again. love that it has a remote and that you can have items sit on top with no worry. We do have it placed away from the wall for ventilation but I'm sure it could be placed closer , safely with still no issues. I'll add a photo once it's been placed and decorated. We have it in front of our wood burning insert, that we no longer use. It makes for a nice center piece in the room and we couldn't be happier. A good size at 24 inches wide. Not flimsy, sturdy. Easy to attach the legs. Solid metal construction.Love the real working door. Controls are all digital hidden inside.

I got my off white Duraflame electric fireplace in November 2023. I have been using it daily since then and love looking over at its cheerful "fire." The stove puts out good heat, and accurately reaches whatever temperature I have set it at. (I have checked this by looking at my wall thermostat.) It can be set as low as 62 and as high as 84.I have also frequently used it without the heater on - just for the ambiance, the cozy look of a fire in my corner "fireplace."I especially love the ambiance of this stove / fireplace, how attractive it is. I know that in warmer weather, I will also enjoy looking at it, and will use its surface as a display area. It weighs only 35 lbs. and I could easily move it to other parts of my home if I wanted to. I appreciate that the top of it only gets warm, not hot.Only one hiccup (which doesn't matter to me) - my remote only serves to turn the stove off and on and adjust the faux flame height; it does not adjust the temperature or the timer. To change the temperature, which I rarely do, I need to open the door of the fireplace and manually push the "temperature button." It's easy, and not a big deal for me as I am a flexible person who has no problem kneeling down.And, frankly, that's kind of what I feel like doing daily - bowing to this little gem of an electric fireplace that keeps me warm and provides such a cheerful presence in my home.Don't be surprised that the legs are heavy plastic. They work just fine. The rest of the stove, as described, is glass and metal. It comes very well packaged. Screwing in the legs was a breeze. Have AAA batteries on hand for the remote.If you want a wonderfully cozy look and a very good little heater at a good price; and if you can deal with a remote that functions mainly as an on / off button, you may be as pleased as I am with this little electric fireplace! Word has gotten around my condo building and now 7 of us own it in different colors. (The red and blue are lovely, rich shades.) We are all 7 pleased with it!

Really impressed and happy with this small electric fireplace. Good quality and the flame is the best I have seen compared to other products. Heats well and quiet compared to others. I am happy I spent the extra dollars for this one as it doesn’t look cheap compared to others I have seen for less.

Realistic flame, even my dogs watch it. The stove is very sturdy, and has glass sides that are really a great viewing feature. The infrared heat warms the room up very nicely, so the room stays warm longer, once the heating is turned off, and you just want flame for viewing. I find this type of heat is better than the regular electric I use to own. Beautiful beveled glass front door. Remote control is handy and temp setting is on the stove, but all can be turned on and off with remote. The flame has several settings for amount of flame you want to view. Great reviews on this stove, excellent delivery. Was worth the money to get through the long winter darkness!!

El mueble es bonito y la luz de la "fogata" se vé muy natural y bonita. El calor que emite es agradable pero no demasiado cálido, por lo que no creo que funcione en lugares extremadamente fríos. El calor se emite por un ventilador en la parte frontal superior del calentador. Pero no se calienta mucho la parte superior al tacto.Los botones de encendido, temperatura y tipo de flama están detrás de la puerta y no están iluminados, por lo que se necesita luz ambiental o de una lámpara para poder verlos. El control remoto solo enciende y apaga o cambia la flama, pero no se puede ver a qué se está cambiando porque los signos están detrás de la puerta.No hace mucho ruido, únicamente el sonido del ventilador.Para un lugar cerrado de tamaño pequeño (unos 40-50 mts 2) funciona muy bien. Lo considero un producto excelente, mucho mejor que otros similares que he tenido.Edición en 2018: Un año después sigue funcionando muy bien.Lo que no puedo creer, ¡es el precio actual! ¿Cómo pudo haber aumentado 4 veces en un año?
