Bought these to replace my plastic tabs that broke after a few years. These pulls installed easily and function perfectly. Only issue were some sharpe edges but a file quickly resolved the issue.

I purchased these as a replacement to the plastic/rubber ones that came with the house, because I keep breaking them. They're a little thicker and make the rubber gasket stick out a little bit more on the back side, but they're very sturdy. I also have arthritis and it's difficult for me to grip a plastic piece, but the metal hook function of these is much easier for me to grab. Only time will determine if these hold up to the Arizona sun. But so far, I like them. I'm planning on replacing all the screen pull tabs with these. Definitely recommend.

I used these in a few screens I built for my house that had no screens. I used more than they normally do (I put two on one side, and two on the top or bottom). They go in before you roll the screen welting in, and they hold firm.No issues, and I like the metal more than the plastic because "I'm old, and metal beats plastic".

I had the plastic square tabs that came with the screens in my apt and of course they broke off because they dry rotted. I live in the desert and it gets very hot and unfortunately my 3 windows face the west and get all the extreme hot sun in the afternoon. It didn’t take me very long to change out 3 screens; except I had to take my time because the spline was kind of dry rotted, and I didn’t want it to fall apart. But it was a very easy job to do and these tabs are very sturdy and strong. I had one screen that was very tight fitting to get back into the window and I used a pair pliers to pull the tab and was able to get it right into the frame and the tabs worked great! Very happy with these tabs. Next time I pull the screens out to clean the windows I won’t have to use a screwdriver because these tabs won’t break!

These screen clips are way better than those weak a$$ plastic clips that come with screen repair kits. Big ups to the manufacturer of this product!

Clear plastic tabs look great until they start to fail - clear plastic eventually degrade with heat and sun exposure. Then you have to resort to using a screwdriver to pry the screen off of the casement window - a recipe for damaging screens and wood trim, not to mention your hands.I opted for these. Visible, yes. And that may not suit some homeowners. Yet as they are 7/"8" wider than standard plastic pulls (1/2" less height) they offer much better pulling grip, and are easier on the fingers - something that seniors with grip strength issues may appreciate. These also withstand substantial pulling force without fear of snapping (see pics of two 24" x 60" casements below).Installation:Replacing the plastic pulls is a simple handyman task, and DOES NOT require removing the entire spline. Using a flat blade screw driver, just ease out the spline along its bottom and two inches on either side. Pull or pry out the plastic tabs, substituting the new tabs in the same positions. Then, starting at one end progressively work the screen back into the channel a few inches at a time - fairly easy as most screen materials retain the shape of the channel. Use a spline roller to firmly secure tabs and screen into the channel. There are several helpful YouTube videos.

I bought a splining kit on Amazon and was able to replace with ease the pulls on 17 window screens in about an hour. Unlike the plastic pulls originally on the screens from PGT, these metal pulls will not disintegrate in 2 years! A great improvement. PGT should be ashamed for such a shoddy product

These work well! It took me a minute to figure out that the tabs go behind the screen when the spline was facing me. When repairing my window, the tab was below the screen, then the screen, then the spline. When I figured this out they were easy to install. Another way to think of it is that the spline faces outside, the tab needs to face inside.

Easy to install, works really well and they won’t deteriorate with the sun like plastic. Highly recommend

Like: Aluminum is strong.Dislike: Rubber strip did not hold bracket in place.Had to drill and screw in one metal screw at an angle in each bracket from the outside of the assembled frame. Used metal oval Phillips #4 x 1/2 inch. Sealed with a dab of DAP kitchen, bath & plumbing sealer.
