This is my 2nd bottle. I wanted the long-lasting quality of a wax chain lube without the hassle of soaking my chain in a hot wax solution. DuPont Chain Saver was the answer. After giving my chain a thorough cleaning I just applied a drop to each roller and my chain was waxed. The wax lubricant is dissolved in an evaporative solvent, so once applied the solvent dries leaving a wax film. I found that the only limiting factor in how long this lube lasts is how dirty my chain becomes. The wax is excellent at not attracting dirt, but any chain after enough use will need cleaning. This lube is the best alternative I’ve found over oil type chain lubes that lubricate well but don’t last long.

SoCal mountain bike rider here. I have used almost every chain lube on the market and this is now my favorite. I ride in very dry and fine-dust conditions most of the year. This stuff goes on pretty thin, so I was initially worried about actual lubrication. But it works great and the drivetrain is nearly silent. What I like best about it is that the drivetrain is also very clean. It does not pick up dust if you let it get completely dry before riding. I've used other chain lubes that purport to not pick up dust, but this one does it better. I relube every 3rd or 4th ride. Good stuff.

As a chain lubricant, this product works well. It stays on your chain for longer than many other types of lube. The main downside is that it is Teflon based. As you may have heard, Teflon is a forever chemical and is present in nearly all drinking water in the US. This is a huge problem which we will certainly pay the price for. It would be nice if companies moved towards safer lubricants. Although Teflon works great as a lubricant, it should be phased out.Another issue I have with this product is that it is very easy to overspray and get lubricant on the brake rotor. This is a problem because brakes should never be lubricated and it will decrease your stopping power. I also imagine the overspray is leaking Teflon into the environment as well.In summary, this product does a good job of lubricating your motorcycle chain; however, the Teflon in it is not ecologically responsible and it is very easy to overspray this lubricant onto your brake rotor or the ground. For this reason, I cannot really recommend it even though it works.

I've been riding motorcycles for decades and have tried every lube product that's come down the pike. Most have done a great job of protecting the chain but all have had the same shortcomings – the lube flings off the chain and onto the bike's body parts when riding and the lube is sticky and attracts dust and dirt, which adds unnecessary wear to the chain and sprockets.By contrast, DuPont's Chain Saver goes on wet but dries to a clear, almost invisible non-tacky coating that doesn't fling off and does not attract dirt, dust or debris. It's a very well thought-out product! Now that I've discovered it, I cannot imagine myself ever using anything else.Like all other spray-on chain lubes, it can be messy to apply so I use a large trash bag as a disposable tarp, covering up my rear stand, the bottom of the wheel and tire, and the cement floor underneath the tire. After lubing I toss the bag in the trash and voila! – there's no mess. The Chain Saver takes about 20 minutes to set up but after that the bike is ready to ride. I spray on a little more after a few hundred miles then clean it off with kerosene and start afresh about every 1000 miles or so. It comes off easily when it's time to remove it.Incidentally I also tried the liquid version of DuPont's Chain Saver in the squeeze bottle, thinking I'd net more product because there's no propellant, but it seemed to take a lot more lube to get the same coverage as I got with the spray version. And the per ounce cost of the liquid version is significantly higher. So, my advice is to go with the spray version.

I can't get Dupont Chain saver locally, so ordering it is my only option. But really this lubricant is the best for motorcycle chains...always has been. Just wish buying one can was cheaper though....add on shipping it is a bit pricy...but that is just the way it is.

Often one of the most neglected essential parts of a motorcycle is the chain. I see so many bikes that have all kinds of gunk build up on the chain and greasy yuck all around the sprockets and wheel. This product eliminates that problem with a good cleaning first and then lubricating. I will be using Teflon Chain Saver from now on for my motorcycle. I put the bike on a rear stand, cleaned the chain first from all the old grease, dirt, and grime. Then I spun the wheel by hand and sprayed this lubricant on the chain. It comes out a bit runny but I had a shop rag nearby and wiped the chain as I sprayed. Once it's dry it not thick or sticky and does not fly off and get all over everything on the first ride like many chain lubricants.+ Dries Quickly+ Not Greasy or Sticky+ Easy to Spray On+ Does Not Attract Debris (Because it's not all sticky)+ Lasts Quite a Long Time, I reapply every 300-500 miles with no issues. I clean chain first each time before lubricating.+ Great Value for the Size- A bit runny but it's not a big deal just keep a rag handy if you don't want it all over the floor._Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommed this to a friend. I actually let a friend use it on his bike this past summer and now he switched from what he was using and started using this stuff as well. I love it, it keeps my chain and sprockets clean and working great. I have used this stuff for about 6 months and still love it. 5 Stars for sure on this one.
