Cannot get this unit to work on a Mac consistently. I have spoken to tech support multiple times and sent the crash reports. I have had to go into the registry and delete/add the driver info manually to get it to work at all.

WARNING, DO NOT BUY. The pictures are DELIBERATELY misleading. This device has two cords, the pictures ONLY show one. It has a USB cord AND a separate power cord. So if you are thinking oh that looks easy, only one cord, that isn't correct.Second: This device does not work with Windows. The first time I tried it, it does not work. The reason why is this device requires each usb to be recognized by Windows, as if they were all plugged into your computer. Windows DOES not allow multiple drives with the same signature, it keeps them offline. If you are cloning drives, you are going to have drives with the same signature, like my drives, which were cloned previously. So what use is a cloner that relies on software that wont allow cloned drives?Their manual does not mention this and their software program has no functionality to fix it. No answer when I tried to call tech support.Cloning should be an easy plug and clone task. With this device, you are reliant on complicated interface with your computer operating system, which is going to really complicate the process apparently. And it has two cords, instead of one stationary cord for a standalone. So, really, what use is it?If the company were honest they would show the pictures with both cords but they didn't. And they should be well aware of the Windows issue. Their software will not see the drives because Windows wont allow it. And if this is something fixable they should have included it in their manual.

Had difficulty at first getting OS Sonoma to recognize the device. Worked with support at DupliM and they were awesome. They did not give up and worked through it with me to success. Turns out that Apple's got a new firewall for Intel Macbooks that was problematic. DupliM sent me the workaround, did a full reboot and now I'm cranking out flash drives left and right. Super fast, way easy, time saving. Five Stars the whole way!

I'm running this device on a MacBook Pro with a 2.8 GHz quad core processor, not a slow machine, with MacOS Big Sur. I have the device connected directly to a USB3 port on the Mac, not going through a hub. Software installed and works fine, but copying 172 GB of files (not video) took 8 to 10 hours to copy to two flash drives identical to the source drive — same size, same brand, exact same drives. I tried all format modes: MacOS Journaled, Append/Overwrite, Append/ Don't Overwrite. No difference in time, but MacOS Journaled took 8 hours to copy and didn't copy any files at all, so did nothing for 8 hours and completed normally. Worthless.

I'm very pleased with my purchase of the DupliM duplicator. I have only done some basic testing but I am very impressed. My unit was shipped without the requisite USB stick which has the software install files. Inside the box there is card with info on how to contact them for support. I called the number and Mike picked up from their office in California. He was apologetic about the missing USB stick but was able to quickly send me a dropbox link for the software. This is remarkable these days due to the prevalence of companies with little to no after-sales support. I'm glad for the minor failure in packaging/shipping so that I could experience real customer service.

I ordered the wrong one so I returned it I needed the standalone USB duplicator
