We ordered this product a few weeks ago and the bolt package was missing. I sent back the first one and just received the second ladder and the bolt package is missing...again. :(. Looks like a good ladder, so maybe I'll try again. I hate sending stuff back, but there is no other way to get the parts that are missing.

The ladder folds tight to the tailgate. It is easy to fold out, and feels sturdy, welded construction appears solid. Installing on a Dodge Ram, I was able to access the interior of the tailgate through an access panel. I used nuts and washers behind the mounting plates which were not supplied. The kit included two out of 8 necessary compression nuts. I hit the hardware store for eight 1.25 nuts. Also, please note the instructions call for decimal drill bits to create the mounting holes. I challenge any DIY'er to find a .413 drill bit as required in the instructions.

The ladder is made from welded aluminum tubing. The real steps, not rungs, are very stable to climb on.this fit my 2020 Ram 1500 with no modifications. The clasp that holds the folded ladder against the tailgate works. No rattles or vibrations. The only problem I had was with the the rivet nut tool. It broke on the fifth nut. I made my own from grade 8 bolt and nuts.Very happy with the ladder. Looks good and is very stable in use.

Quality went all into the materials to construct the ladder and latch. Mounting hardware I couldn't even use. The threaded inserts they give you were the absolute worst. Be prepared to use heavy duty self-drilling stainless steel screws instead. Good ladder though! I use it often, beats climbing up on the tail gate every time I need something from the bed of the truck.

The latch that secured the product to tailgate weld is no good. Weld on tab broke first week. The joints are not a tight fit need to add bushings or you will bust your butt climbing up it. Poor design, could have been a great product but as usual with some products making money comes ahead of safety and quality. After adding spacers at every henged joint it works pretty well. The tab for locking it while not in use ,weld is substandard and will fail.

The ladder is perfect for getting up in my truck bed.Very durable product I would highly recommend this product. For me installation was a bit tricky due to truck liner Purchased longer screws and made some adjustments as you can see in the pictures I posted

I recently installed this on my Jeep Gladiator. The mounting base plate needed to be cut down as it made the ladder too long side to to side to fit on the tailgate. No big deal to trim it but if you don't, the legs will stick out beyond the edge of the tailgate.I also ditched the nut-certs and went with sheet metal screws since the contours of the tailgate provided almost no solid flat parts to drill into.PROS:- Heavy Duty. Holds twice as much weight as similar cheaper options.- Construction is beefy and the hinges don't look like they will wear out very easily.- Mounts snuggly without any rattling.CONS:- Pre-drilled mounting plates don't offer a lot of options.- Doesn't adjust to different height vehicles. (lucky for me it was perfect with my lift)- The welded hinge brackets are slightly cockeyed.- The instructions are useless.

Bought this for my 2016 F-150. It’s a good sturdy quality product. Installation was incredibly easy and the unit comes with all necessary hardware. What sold me on this unit is the way it clamps to the tailgate when not in use. No cheap Velcro that will eventually fall apart or rip. This has a hinged metal clamping system that is very simple yet very reliable. When unfolded for use, it is very sturdy and has no problem supporting my 225 lb weight.I would highly recommend this ladder to anyone who, like me, isn’t 20 years old anymore and can’t just jump up into the truck like we used to.
