I have three dogs, two of whom have major medical issues. I got this for our trip across country for a move--we will be living in hotels for 6 weeks or more with intermittent driving days. The drop-down "tray" outer pocket keeps needles, alcohol wipes, ointments, and finger cots at the ready, particularly useful during the daily subcutaneous fluids drip. The needle cap even slides into the little elastic loops that look a bit small for pens or anything else I can think of--losing needle caps while holding a dog is the worst. IV bags fit in the main compartment with plenty of room to spare, along with bags and bags of pills and treats and pill pockets. I have to keep my first aid kit separate, but if I only had one dog with health issues it would fit just fine.The stitching on mine seems nice and sturdy and the fabric is tough. Heavy duty zippers. I have only been using it for a week but I will be surprised if I ever have to replace it for wear & tear reasons and I expect it can take a lot more abuse than my style of travel. It's a bit bigger than I expected from the photos.For humans I could see this being a great medical bag as well, although it does say it's for dogs on the front label. That wouldn't bother me but it might bother someone in another cultural context. Could probably Dremel that off.

Great bag with tones of room. I can fit most of my gear in this one bag. I use a bucket for my extra bumpers so that I have something for wet gear.

Great quality. I use it as my range bag and it holds everything securely and comfortably. This is a very strong bag. Another reviewer had concerns about the zippers. I've had no problems with them and I am very hard on zippers. A snap closure for the top compartment would be nice as mentioned by another reviewer, but the bag is pretty perfect and stands up to a great deal of abuse. The only weakness I've found is the shoulder strap clips. They can not hold 25lbs. They come loose and drop the bag. I had to cut them off, sew one more loop on to the open end of the strap and used carabiners to secure the shoulder strap to the bag. That works well and I'm happy with the fix. I've already had people asking me where I bought it and to send them the link. The straps provide great support for heavy loads after you replace the plastic clips. It's not uncomfortable to carry when filled with 50+ pounds of gear and the bright lining makes it easy to find things even when tightly packed. It's a great bag.

Really like this bag but their could be some improvements.Pros: Finally have a bag with enough pockets to not only put nearly all my dog obedience training gear in but I can separate the collars and accessories for both dogs. I liked this bag enough that I gave one to another dog trainer friend. It is basically designed like an old time Doctor's bag. The construction seems to be good with quality fabrics. I especially like that the bag has a huge, clam-shell type opening with the bright orange interior which makes finding objects easier. It is large enough for multiple leashes, collars, poop bags, treats, balls and assorted toys and tugs. It could hold multiple, smaller tugs along with all the other gear needed for obedience training but not everything needed for ring sports or protection training IMO.Cons: If one fills the bag about 2/3 rds full then it is hard to close the zippered top and that requires the use of two hands and some struggle. So 95% of the time the bag is open at the top leaving it open to dust and other debris. The zipper closure is my biggest issue with the bag. A redesign with a flap or velcro closure like they use on the exterior pockets would solve this problem. Some of the exterior pockets are so small that they can't hold a ball and still close. I also wish it was about 1/3 large and then it would be the truly perfect bag for my training needs. I can put one bite edge in the center portion but if I do I have a more difficult time closing the top.With a little redesign this could be the perfect dog training bag!

I LOVE IT ! Looked for a Dog Training Bag several places on the web,and this one caught my eye.It is well made ! Time will tell on durability, however I expectit to hold up great! The inside is made with nylon and well seamed.It wipes out easily. It has lots of compartments and is not hard toview into like the Gym bag I was using.CONS: Upon receiving it mine did need to be aired out as it had a chemical smell that quickly dissipated.It does have embroidery on it that says Mud River Dog Products. This may bother someone who wantsto buy it for use other than dog training. Otherwise I say go for it!There is plenty of room for my dogs toys and training tools.The only draw back SO FAR, is it is SO nice I will have to keep an eyeon it so it does not somehow "walk off by itself" at dog events. Am goingto put a luggage tag on it. It holds A LOT of stuff and would be costly to loose.Will Update this review IF I find anything I don't like about it later on.Hope this helps YOU decide on this purchase.UPDATE: Aug 2012. OK, this bag is holding up nicely just as I had expected.The only design change that I would like to see, should the company redesign later,is for it to open with a large snap or clasp, instead of the zipper. A magnetic clasp would be great.The Dr. Bag design with the hinges so it opens wide is appreciated, but not having to use the long zipperevery time it is opened would be more convenient. ;D
